Hi! You may not be connected to the internet fully thats why the web page can't be displayed properly. If the connection is succesful but still doesn't display the page then you may have a browser issue. Try using firefox browser and see how it goes. Hope this helps and have a good one!

I can connect to the internet but explorer keeps saying can not display this page. i can u skype and my neatbot fine. i go to MC'ds and my wifi is fine. go to deny's and i get can not dosplay page. i...

First thing I would do is check how everything works with a different "browser". It is odd that you can skype and neatbot but not use IE.

If everything works when using a different bowser then at least you know the issue is with IE. In which case performing a reset on IE might solve the issue. (in IE - tools+internet options+Advanced)

Also there are some programs, and setting in IE, or on public networks that can limit what you can see on the internet. I use "peerblock" and I get that "cannot display webpage" error all the time if I forget to turn it off.

Acer Aspire 5516 i'm getting " can't display webpage". I got a internet connection,can someone please help

if you're certain your internet connection is good then you could try these.
go to control panel and open the internet options and delete the browsing history including temporary internet files.
if that doesn't work then go to the advanced tab in internet options and reset the settings to their default.
if that doesn't work then try the connections tab in internet options, click the lan settings and make sure it's on automatically detect settings or nothing.

I have a dell optiplex gx520,it is hooked up to wireless connection and it's showing that the signal is good, but IE won't let us view webpage......

can you check if have a valild IP address?

1. Start > RUN > type in "cmd"
2. On the command prompt windows (black DOS window),
> type "ipconfig" > hit Enter
> you should have a valid IP address (something like 192.168.x.x)
• if yes, then try to ping a website
• if no, (you should see somthing like 169.254.x.x), check your wireless settings again.
**good signal doesnt mean that you are connected, it could be a conflict with wireless encryptions too..**
3. to perform PING
> on the CMD screen (back DOS based window), type "ping (space) google.com"
> you should see ping statistics, something like "packets sent=4 received=4 lost=0"
• if 0% lost > your connected to the internet
• if 100% lost > you have no connection
> again check your wireless again
4. If you can Ping and you can't still view webpages using IE here's what I suggest
• Optimize your browser
-delete temporary internet files and cookies
4a.1 Open Internet Explorer
4a.2 Click "Tools" (the icon that looks ike a cogwheel / gear; usually at the upper right corner of internet explorer)
4a.3 Click "Internet Options"
4a.3 Click "Delete" under the General Tab Screen
4a.4 Restart Internet Explorer
• Reset Internet Explorer to factory settings
4b.1 Open Internet Explorer
4b.2 Click "Tools" (the icon that looks ike a cogwheel / gear; usually at the upper right corner of internet explorer)
4b.3 Click "Internet Options"
4b.4 Click on the "Advanced" tab
4b.5 Click on "RESET"
4b.6 Restart Internet Explorer

Hopes this Helps

Internet Explorer cannot display the web page

There are many possibilities that you are unable to connect to internet.

Can you check your internet explorer is not in offline mode? in IE goto File->Work Offline must not be ticked.

Open command prompt, and type "ping yahoo.com" and press enter, you will see the % rate of dropping whether is connected to internet or not will tell too. Write me what do you see in the command prompt.

Note: It will be good if you can call me over the phone and explain in details to solve your problem quickly.

After clicking on a link that I know is good, I keep getting Internet explorer cannot display webpage

That can only happen if windows believes you are not connected to the internet. Have you looked at your connection settings in IE? Make sure they are set to LAN. An easier way is to restore to a day you know everything was ok.

Either that, or do you have phishing software or virus software which is preventing the page opening.

Internet Explorer cannot display the web page

Have you installed any software firewalls lately, I know Norton has a habit of randomly blocking the internet.

Try disabling any firewall you may have and try again, if the internet surfing problem persists, try plugging in a wired connection and seeing if you can surf from there.

Internet Explorer cannot display the web page

I've been having the same problem after I change my Aztech router to D-Link. I hope these can help you because my problem solved after doing it.

Go to Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings and make sure you check the 'Automatically detect settings' option box and the other two boxes is left unchecked. Good luck!!!
