Hii wenever im trying to go on facebook site www.facebook.com this is what appears : Oops! This link appears broken.DNS error occurred. Server cannot be found. I cannot open facebook site at all....

Hi, are you following a link in an email, typing it it by hand, or relying on a link in your browser?
A, The link may be broken (it's mispelled, or taking you somewhere else);
B, It may be that you've miss-spelled it;
C, The link may have cookies disabled. (some sites require cookies to be enabled on your computer).
D, go via link for more info:- http://www.buzzle.com/articles/dns-error.html

A, - ignore this;
B, double check;
C, go into your "tools", internet options, browsing history, and click on "delete". This will clear ALL your history, including saved passwords on sites that you use regularly - BE WARNED!!! Try Facebook again.
D, do what the link says (technical stuff)...

IF, however you are trying from certain computers (like at work / libraries), they may have excluded Facebook / Myspace / Twitter etc from being accessed, due to possible virus infections.

Oops! This page appears broken. DNS Error - Server cannot be found.

The servers are located in the network by using it's ip address.
Using names for the domains is easier for humans.
A Domain Name Server (DNS) keeps track of the server ip address related with the domain name.
When an error occurs finding the corresponding ip address for the domain name, youll get the message "Oops! This page appears broken. DNS Error - Server cannot be found.".

Oops this link appears to be broken dns error - cannot find server windows 7 explorer 8

The error refers to the Domain Name Server (DNS) that your system uses is unable to translate the Uniform Resource Locator (URL, web address either Typed in the address line or linked using a hyper-link, favorite or default home page) (In english, the translation of a web address link www.google.com to the Internet Protocol (IP) address that computers actually use to show the page)
Possible causes:
  1. The URL is wrong. (Typed wrong, link no longer active, link changed)
  2. The DNS server listed for your ISP configuration is not working.
  3. The web site is offline.
  4. The DNS server settings for your internet configuration are wrong.
Possible resolutions:
  1. Try a different Web Address, see if it works
  2. Restart (Completely power off your Cable/DSL modem and then do the same with your router)
  3. Check you IP address configuration settings and ensure that auto-assign DNS is selected (Default setting)
  4. Boot to safe mode with networking, see if you can get online that way.

Today I opened 3 urls and surfed site with no problem. Then I could not open one new site and got this message ''DNS error occurred. Server cannot be found. The link may be broken'. esterdayya this site...

This could be possible when you try to surf the website that has been unavailable. There could be mistyped URL too. Make sure to type the exact website in the internet browser. Website might have been down due to problems or not paid to hosting service and was removed or stopped.

Oops-this link is broken msg is flagged when i access youtube

If a DNS error is showing, the web site you are visiting is having a problem. It happens with the best of sites. If you are asking for a way to stop Google's suggestions there is a way to do that as well but Google is not the cause of the DNS error.
