I have a Sanyo 27'in TV DS27800 model and I have lost the original remote to the TV and I can get the TV out of Video 1 mode. I have even purchase a universal remote and the TV still want change to channels. What do you suggest I do to solve the problem.

U using the RCA AV cable Y,R,W plug into those tv video input holes wright?Tries another RCA Y,R,W AV cable,see if it work?U have tools like a soldering iron,a roll of solders,also can u do basic soldering?Tries take some alchahol clean the Yellow input hole and take the tv aparts resolders it connections joints,now the video out it should work again,if not yellow input hole might be shorted require replacing.

Check the tv manual buttons,have a input button.No.Try website like Remotes.com to buy an original remote so can find out with input ur VCR/DVD device unit hook up into like video input like 1 or 2.

You can find the most up-to-date list of remote codes at One-for-all's site here. Just be aware that on some models of TV, a universal remote may not support all the functions of the manufacturer's original.

you should have an input button. if so press the button until you get to the input that your dvr/vcr player is on. if you do not have a input button got to the menu button and you should be able to change the input thru the menu.

Using the tv remote (or selecting TV button on cable universal remote) hit the INFO button. It remove the channel # for me. I might have a different model.

Did you try the differnt TV mode buttons? Thats what i do on my tv to change from video.

The only way your going to change the video mode is with the original remote. If you need another remote go to http://remotes.com or call 1800 remotes Theres a button on the upper left hand side of the remote called video mode. A universal most of the time will not work this function. You could ask around to your friends and buddies or relitives if anyone has a working Sanyo remote or go to a local retailer that sells Sanyo and see if he would let you borrow one for a little while so you can switch out of the video mode.
