Quit working in first gear, I have 5 drills, the 2 speed models that no longer work in first gear. am I using it wrong or is it a product fault. they are 1 to 2 years old. We use them a lot, but they all work fine on 1st speed.

Currently its almost to buy a complete new gear box for only 1 worn gear shaft can it be because nowadays much brands deliver only complete gear boxes depending on which model and or brand . there is an gear-shaft worn in the box Milwaukee has also for most models complete gear boxes , Makita Panasonic Hitachi deliver for most models separate parts. I dont know how it is for Ryobi in your Country.

what you are missing is a dewalt hammer drill.

There is a little bearing that rides in a cam for adjusting the belt tension. It's probably shot. Good Luck!

It will never work again either. you can't use a little drill for a big job, and 5 gallons of drywall mud is a big job. Sorry for your loss

Hi your best chance is to try ebay for one with the motor gone.
Other than that best you can do is buy another drill the same so you will have a spare battery.
You could try Skill for a gear but it probably will be the price of a new drill.
