You may have a fried power board if nothing comes on at all. This may mean removing the power board and inspecting for blown capacitors. You can observe which have blown by their expansion. Check this or maybe a wiring issue. If you do have orange codes then check this link to get ideas:
TechView PTSW4200U Television orange light blinking standby Questions
Can you get me the specs of the adapter(Input /output voltage and wattage) and the make/model of the tv so that I can find it for you or atelast find you a replacement adapter.
After I typed in "replacement TV remotes" into the Google searchbox, I received numerous hits. One website in particular (Remotes.com) , sells several replacement remotes for Techview TVs. Their tollfree number is 1-800-REMOTES.
The Techview company is no longer in business, which explains why it is not currently listed in the TV code booklets you used.
I would suggest borrowing or purchasing a power adapter to test this tv. Adapters are available from Ebay.
This company is out of business and finding parts is very difficult.
I need a pcb board for one of these and can not find one.
If any one has a non working 20" Techview that I could buy for parts please Email me. [email protected]
Thanks,
Pete
