Front Loader Model #FWT449G5S00 banging on spin cycle. One bottem shock snapped replaced with new shock kit (twice) still bangs. At first I thought bang ( out of balance problem) was because of the broken shock Now I think drum out of control cause shock to break and I dont know what would cause this?

Replace all four struts

always check the load to the drum is not to heavy on one side, this could cause it to bang.

Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that...
1. They are there and mount is solid.
2. If they are broken in 1/2.
3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken.
4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.

Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.

Replace/repair as necessary.

shocks need replacement

Unless your front loader is set firmly on concrete and leveled to perfection, the force of a heavy wash load spinning in excess of 1000rpm will create a bit of vibration and noise.A firm footing is your best defense against to much movement.
Also due to the earlier movements during the spin cycle, the shocks that are used to dampen the spin cycle might have been broken or damaged.
If the problem persists inspite of proper levelling, please do check for the shocks or might have them replaced them for good.

hello, your problem is that your shocks are bad and need to be replaced. you can access them by removing the front lower panel. make sure you unplug the washer first. you will see 2 of them on either side of the tub. i belive you can twist the upper portion and then remove the bottom screew and remove the shock. of course before you start you should have the new shocks. and make sure their is no water in the tub.

Is this a front loader you have? the banging could be broken shocks.

The support spring beside the spinning hausing are cut replace w/new spring available appliances store. bring sample.
