We have a SAM4s ER-260.The screen shows E8 0.00.None of the buttons are responding and the cash till will not open.Please help

Turn off the machine. Hold down the lower right key on keyboard. Turn key to P. Turn on machine. That should clear it out. It will also log you off you will need to log back in. Make sure you correct your mistake

Hi,
S is a hidden position located under the Off position. It will not be marked on the register but keep turning the P key all the way around to the '6 o'clock' position.

E32 is usually an indication that the server or cashier has not been signed on. To resolve; 1) Press the clear button. Doing this will take you back to all zeros in the display 2) Enter the number 1 and then press the green or blue button which is labeled CASH, at this point you till have 01 in the display, indicating cashier 1 has been sign on.
