SOURCE: I just bought an X223W

You probably need to up the screen resolution.
Start/Control Panel/Display/Settings tab/Screen resolution.
1024X768 minimum.
While you are in the click the advanced button then click the monitor tab. Your refresh rate will most likely by 60 Hertz. Down below that you will see a "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" check box. Check it. Now click the drop down arrow for the screen refresh rate. Set this to the highest setting there. This will stop the flicker that gives a lot of people headaches when they spend a long time at their computer.

Acer X223W monito won;t wake up after sleep.

I have a dual monitor system, both are the x223w. Same problem but only on the second monitor. Backlight shuts off.On/off light stays blue. I have to turn off the monitor and turn it back on. I returned it and Acer could not find any problem so I got it back. No problem for awhile and now a few times over the past couple days. Not good...
