I have had several friends try to send me a picture message, and i myself have tried tosend a picture message, and i'm just not able to receive ... Not sending Picture messages

This is usually a service provider problem, try giving them a call, it is free and they may need to change something on their end.

These can be very tricky to resolve. I assume you are sending/receiving text messages between two lines of service from different carriers.... Perhaps different mobile carriers in two different countries? I would make sure you have the country codes correct, if applicable. Try testing different lines if you can to your device, like you have stated you have (when I send a message from another number I am receiving it...). Do more of this testing, but pay attention to what mobile carrier each line is on. You will probably see a pattern and then will need to contact the mobile carrier for additional help.

Use Facebook, Twitter, Gmail Chat. For whatever reason you're using Yahoo messenger, if you're too attached to it to use something else, try disconnecting and reconnecting, or send a different type of message, or try to connect with a video chat or phone call through Yahoo.

sending and receiving messages needs a data connection, try to look at the upper part of your screen if you have like 1x or 3g icons.

just go to message setting and open sending option and check the no. of text message centre whether it is there or not

Try updating to the latest java. www.java.com

Check your message center number. Contact your service provider. If nothing helps, reset your phone to factory settings
