When I attach the USB to camera and computer, after selecting PC it shows the ONE MOMENT screen on the camera and that's it! ONE MOMENT stays up on the camera yet nothing opens on the computer. I've also selected PRINT and the same thing. Also tried all USB ports on the computer...same thing. Any advice to getting the pics off the memory card?? Thanks!!!

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I have a Sony Cyper-shot 6.o Mega Pixels camera (given to me with no manual) I've got the cord to connect camera to PC. I cannot figure out how to load the pictures from the camera onto my e-mail account.

The mamory card in the camera will show up as a "Removable Disk" on your computer.

1. Go to "My Computer". The camera will probably be Drive E.
2. Click on Drive E (or whatever the "removable disk" is) and open (click) any folders that show up. The pictures will be several folders down.
3. You can then copy these to your "My Pictures" folder in "My Documents" or "browse" to that drive when you want to attach a picture to your email

Hope this helps!

Pics not showing up

Make sure the camera is on and pc is selected on the camera screen when connected to the computer. You will need to have PC highlighted and select ok on the camera as this starts the camera and computer to communicate. Once communication established the LCD screen of the camera goes dark and the computer should generate a removable disk drive. Check the System Tray (lower right corner beside the PC time) for Safely Remove Hardware. When you click on it, it should read "Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device Drive ?:" If you dont see that, then check the Device Manager to see if the camera is recognized as USB Mass Storage Device. The camera uses the driver usbstor.

Computer not recognizing Camera

Are you always using the same USB-port on your PC? If yes try to use another USB-port.
If the above solution will not work try to re-install the camera drivers.
