HP laserjet 5000 series PCL 6 driver

We've got the above Black and White printer at work and our office services department assure us that it will print double sided as it says 'duplex' on the back.

However, there is no option for double-sided printing on the print menus.

Does this mean that double-sided printing is not an option?

Thank you

HP color laserjet cp2025 will not print. Help.

No.

Very few printers will print if they're out of toner, even if the colour toner is exhausted and the print job is only black. Replace the empty toner and if this is the only problem, the printer will continue printing.

Hp color laserjet cm 1312 window 7 driver

It sounds like you downloaded the PCL Universal Driver. Try the full solution driver or the PostScript Universal Driver. Both allow color prints.

PCL XL error in hp laserjet 3055

Hi,
information about the cause:
PCL XL error pages that print from an HP LaserJet 1200, 1300, 2200, 2300, 3200 or 3300 series product when a PCL 6 printer driver is in use typically indicate a communication issue. Sometimes this issue is caused by an incompatibility between the Enhanced XL language and the software application.

You can find the solution for this error here:
(It's a long instruction page, I advise to copy the sections that refere to your OS to a separate document, so you don't miss any step)

My hp laserjet 2300 keeps printing an error message. It began after I installed another all in one printer. the message is pcl xl error subsystem: kernael error: illegal operator...

Try updating the printers firmware.
You can download firmware here http://bit.ly/13kZ7i
If the problem remains, try replacing the driver with a PostScript-driver. That should help you out.

Mac laptop hooked up to HP laserjet 4 plus gets error message:

This printer will not work with a Mac - it has no postscript.

The only laserjet 4's that work with Macs all have an "M" in their name - 4M, 4M Plus etc.

You might be able to get a Postscript personality module for the printer to effectively upgrade it to the "M" version.

"Rainbow" word art (Microsoft)

Have you tried prinitng this in MONO on your 2840 printer.
Does Wordart from Word or other office programs cause this?
If it is the office suite, then look at downloading some service packs from Microsoft.
If it's just your 2840 doing it, then look at downloading a different driver.
For some printers there are different types of PCL drivers, like PCL5 or PCL6, these do behave differently per printer, so swapping the driver might not be a bad idea.
Also check if you are using a PS or Postscript driver, but again, try the PCL alternative for your printer.

I would install the different driver under another name, for testing, then if it works just delete the bad one.
