Hi i have same problem but i have six bunt resistors aswell i cant find replacement ones anywere dose any one no were to get them they are,
orange,white,gold,red
I tried several places as well and found them at samsungparts.com, they were the only place that shipped, i had them 3 days later. I just did this 2 weeks ago.
The resistors are 3.9OHM you can get the ICs you need as well as the risistors at the following link. They also provide free instalation instructions and free online instant messageing with a tech when you do the actual repair. You can get the PT53WX53 convergence repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which is the correct one for your model. The Kit contains the Convergence ICs the six resistors and the Cd with instructions.
I would guess the voltage is 110/120 VAC, You can check this by putting a voltmeter across the fan leads when the machine is on. Be careful, you can get a lethal shock doing this.
Have you tried surfing the internet for TEAC parts -- that would be my suggestion for finding a replacement.
did you replace the six convergence resistors with the ICs? as Hitachi recommends replacing the six resistors when the ICs are replaced as the old ICs can harm the resistors and they will need replacement.
Thats the classisc sign that you need to replace both convergence ICs. You will need two Convergence ICs STK392-120 and then six resistors they are RK42 3.3 ohm 1watt, RK46 1.5 ohm 1watt, RK50 2.7 ohm 1watt, RK54 1.5 ohm 1watt, RK58 3.9 ohm 1watt, RK62 1.8 ohm 1watt. You can get replacement ICs and resistors at the following link and they provide free instalation instructions with pictures so you can repair the set yourself.
