The phone keeps resetting itself whenever i turn it off or it runs out of battery and now its deleated all my media album for no reason.

It might be the battery problem. Try to change to a new battery. If it is still the same, try to reformat it or just reset it. It might be the software problem.

Sounds like the battery is fried or that the system has interpreted that the battery is fried.. Have you tried a 15 second reset. Stick a pin in the reset hole along the bottom for 15 secs (or longer) to allow full discharge and reset. Recharge immediately for about 4 hours with the system completely shut down (press on/off button 15 seconds until blank). If there is still a problem try for a long reset again. If it does boot check the battery condition and how long it takes to die. Once a battery decides its had enough they can go quite quickly and die completely. Do you run the Archos whist it is in the dock or while the charger is plugged in it, I have found that running current through the battery like this can shorten the battery life considerably. I tend to charge fully and then discharge fully, for some reason this keeps the battery fit and allows the system that monitors the battery to have an accurate appraisal of it's true condition.

There are multiple reasons why you cannot update the phone. Are you on original software or did you debrand it? Either way, the phone does reset itself sometimes, it's a common problem that SE still has to fix unfortunately. It happens more often if you multi-task on the phone, e.g. listening music and running GPS or browse the web at the same time.

firmware(Operating system) is damaged . you need to reinstall it .
This could occur due to many reasons like virus attack ,sudden removal of the battery while the phone is on,sudden switch off the cell due to low battery etc ..

if you firmware backup you can reinstall it with your normal datacable by using the PC suite or you can contact the technician

my phone keeps turning off and on when i disconnected my phone from the computer it said reset but now it keeps on turning on and takes me to the munu and then 10seconds it goes off so please help me figure it out and do something

if you're constantly updating your database of music or you're constantly making changes toyour files then your media player may be trying to update itself unsuccessfully, unfortunately this doesn't offer the option to automatically erase your old files. Under your media and synching options try to turning off your auto-synch option. Disabling this option or making it manual will have the disadvantage of not updating your subscribed music, but may keep songs that you already have in your database and on your media player from doubling up.

You have to reset the mp3. All you have to do is turn it on and hold the power button for about 15 seconds, or until it shuts off itself. And if that doesn't work you can unskrew the skrews at the back and take out teh battery pack for one second, and put ti right back. That way it would reset on itself and nothing will go missing...

it could be your battery or the charger itself. you may want to try another charger for it, or get a new battery. i don't think it is a worse problelm.
