I bought an LG 32LD460. I ran the auto tuning option after connecting the antenna. During the first run it picked up all channels. While viewing a channel there was a flicker and all the channels started to show the same station. I tried to run auto tuning again and it dosent pick up any channels now. Tried manual tuning too and it just doesnt pick any channels. Please help.

The tuner inside the tv has failed - which is quite odd since you just bought it. Take it back and recover your money, you got a lemon.

I want to reset my channels on my LG tv I have been through menu, settings then auto tuning and all I get is about 18 programmes the only info I can give you is the remote number akb69680403. Annie

if all you got when you did the auto setup was 18 channels, that is because that's all the channels that your tuner could pick up in your area. There is no additional settings you can make or changes that will give you additional programs without an improved antenna system. Without knowing what kind of antenna you have there's no way to suggest an improvement.

How do I get lost Channels back on free view televison I have a LG televison

By freeview, do you mean OTA (Over the Air)? is this connected via co-ax from an antenna / wall plate? If so you need to do an Auto Tune, if you move the antenna, you will need to auto tune each time, as it will only remember the ones it sees during the auto tune.

Cant retune through dvd player

Sounds like a few things going on here... Your indoor antenna for one is probably not making it easy for you as an outdoor antenna will work a whole lot better. This is why it open picks up half the channels and they are pixelating. Also you may have faulty rf leads. Replace these.

New LG 32LD350 - Allowed TV to auto-program channels, and for some reason, it skipped past channel 4 during the tuning process. When I select channel 4 in the tuning options, it comes up as no signal. On...

When you are auto tuning the system will not store a channel which is week by its standard ( at least 60% signal strength ) This done to avoid grainy picture and hissy sound.
You can go into manual tuning and store it.

How to tune channels first time when you purchase a new Sony Kdl 32EX600 LED tv?

Hello
Do connection to the antena if you wants to set the TV auto tuned.
During this initial setup, you can perform the following:

1 Select the language for the on-screen display text.
2 Select HOME or Retail mode. [Here you have to select "Home" mode if the set displays "Retail"

3 Connect cable or antenna, then select OK to run Auto
Program

• If you have cable and antenna available, please connect cable first.

• IMPORTANT: Auto Program is only effective when cable or

antenna is connected. If you cancel Auto Program before completion some channels may not be
available.

4 Auto Program will scan for available channels from the signal source directly connected to

the TV's CABLE/ANTENNA input and may take sometime to complete the process. Follow
the help text provided on the screen to run Auto Program.
OK.

Hello .i have a lg tv which i purchased in 2008 and only watched videos,i now want to watch tv i have tried auto tune and it only finds 3 vhf channels and none digital.it has preview built in but i can not...

if it has freeview built in its usually programmes itself try turning it on and go into the menu and there should be an auto tune function hit that and it should tune up but remember it needs to be connected to an aerial if it still says no signal try moving the aerial, getting a booster for the aerial they usually plug into the mains then into the back of your tv and you plug your aerial into that to boost the frequencey if that doesn't work then you might need to think about getting a new aerial but you can get 1 for under £30

I got an American model of LG. i can not tune it by auto nor manual can you please help

You can get a manual here: http://www.lg.com/us/tv-audio-video/televisions/LG-lcd-tv-32LG30.jsp . Click on the Support and then on the right hand side look for User's Manuals. Since the TV has a tuner for ATSC, NTSC, and Clear-QAM, the next question is what is your signal source? (analog, digital and unscrambled cable)

If you are using OTA, make sure that the input is set to Antenna. Use antennaweb.org or tvfool.com to check the direction to point your antenna and the appropriate antenna for your distance to the transmitter. antennaweb assumes an external antenna and is very conservative in the list of channels you should be able to receive. tvfool gives the stations available with different antennas. If you have several tvs connected to one source, you may need an amplifier in addition to the splitter. This also can help marginal signals come in since digital is either enough for the tuner to resolve or no signal. (Check splitters and amplifiers if you suddenly can't get a signal that you used to receive. Also check if the antenna has been turned.)

Menu > Channel > Auto Tuning or Manual Tuning. If Lock System is active, you will need the password. Auto Tuning only searches for digital or cable channels. The manual tuning option should provide the signal strength as well for digital stations (as well as letting you search for analog signals or all signals (digital, analog, cable).

Use the input Cable for coax cable connections. Other inputs will not allow you to search for channels since they are meant to be controlled by the set-top box feeding the system.

I hope this helps.

When auto tuning my LG LST-5403P dvr I can not get the ABC channels. It worked correctly until my wife decided to go thru the auto tuning process!!! The missing channels can be picked up at the TV but not...

Hello,

The ABC channels arrive on a different Harmonic than Analog signals; specifically the third Harmonic. When you auto tuned, the auto tune chip looks for stron analog channels on the first harmonic and any other strong signals. However the LG model is notably poor at capturing 3rd Harmonic signals.

Harmonics are different frequencies where the same signal can be captured. Making this overly simplified: a frequency multiplied by 2 is a harmonic and that multiplied by 2 is also of the same harmonic; inversely dividing by 2 and 2 gain and so on finds harmonics down in light wave frequencies.

You may be able to manually tune these ABC frequency channels manually (I do not know, as I live in the US and have no direct experience with this) and then add them in one by one. But, using the Auto Tune feature again will wipe those out. The same thing happens to other weak signals, which harmonic is actually (its on an offset carrier wave).

I just read of a man who built an improved antenna and put this in his attic and received ABC channels quit well. A decent understanding of Antenna physics is required, but it only took up 1.5m wide by .8m (sic) long. In a nutshell he improved his basic antenna by building his own more sophisticated antenna.

Shopping around and asking in the shops should get you an antenna add on that will work for you.

As I stated before I live in the US, and we don't have this, but I and others here at fixya have various experience in amateur radio.

I will ask a friend of mine who lives in Australia to confer with me on this problem of yours so he can add some value to our response to you.

Regards,
Worldvet
