How do you get the 1.3 megapixel web cam to work

You should specify for what operating system you need a driver. Technical specification of your webcam is not useful to get the driver, give your webcam's make and model

i just recieved my web cam and the cords arnt long enough to reach from one port to the other what can i do i have a dell laptop latitude d800 and a fosmon web cam can someonr help

I dont know the make and model of your webcam is but here is something you may want to try to get it to work. First look at it closely for a tag giving you the make and model, then go to the manufactures web site. Unplug your webcam from your computer first and download the latest drivers for it. They usually are free and supported by the company that made your web cam. Once you have your drivers installed plug in the web cam back in to your computer. A window should pop up saying that its installing a new device or drivers. Once this is completed it may want you to set up you web cam probably voice and image. After that you should be able to use your web cam when ever you want too.

Well, that could be because of the cam itself. It is a cheap cam. If you want better quality you will have to buy a little more expensive cam with atleast 1 MegaPixels resolution. The one you currently have has about 600 000 Pixels. Simply put, you will have to buy a cam with higher resolution for better quality.
