There is a thing on the back that the strap goes through, press up on it while pulling from the front on the straps

Good Afternoon

The harness should never be completely removed due to the safety implications of it being incorrectly re-fitted.

Is there any diagrams of how to get the car seat cover off the blasted straps - i have taken the seat adjuster out of the unit but the straps are still attached and i can't get the seat cover off.

the secret is on the hidden gap at the front of the car seat ... where it appears to be in a fixed loop at the front slide it to the side to expose a hidden gap in the plastic .. you can then just slide the straps easy as that !! ( easy when you know how)

How do i get the straps off to clean????ive got as far as the adjuster bit

Never submerge the straps fully in water - it can damage the webbing so that they're not as strong and safe.
I don't have that seat, so I can't tell you how to remove them, but car seat harnesses should only ever be cleaned with a damp cloth.

Discovery 5 3 little bears car seat

You should never put your baby in a car seat in their snowsuit. It counts as extra padding, and voids all the crash testing done with your car seat. It is NOT safe! You should instead put your child in the seat with just normal clothing, tighten until it's very snug. You should not be able to pinch your strap at all, then put a blanket on top of the straps. There should be a tension adjustment. Read your user's manual. If you don't have one, call the manufacturer and they can email you a virtual copy. If the tension is let all the way out, your child has probably outgrown the seat. Check the manual for height and weight limits. My boys grew out of their infant seats at 4 and 5 months old! It was an older Discovery model, but I suspect the height limit is still a measly 26 inches, instead of 29 inches like most seats. They weren't even CLOSE to the weight limit, but had to move to a convertible seat anyway. I need a new seat for the baby who will arrive in a few months, and I will be paying more $$$ for one that has a higher height limit.

What model do you have?

You can call graco at: Graco Customer Service is available Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm Eastern Time.

Ensure you do NOT wash the straps/harness, as it will make it unsafe and you will need to replace it.

They also have an online manual fi that will assist you. I checked my seat, and it is an older snug ride with no straps.
