Cooledit Pro2 Hello, I have just had my CD\DVD go duff on me. I replaced it with an ASUS 2014L1. I now find that Cooledit will not "see" it. A friend has the same drive, and his works fine. Any ideas? Thanks, Bryan

Sound like a hardware issue!
right click on my computer and choose properties
choose the hardware tab
choose the device manager
if there is a yellow exclamation piont next to the hardware in question you should start by reinstalling the drivers for that hardware thanks Ian C.

I have an ASUS DRW-2014L1 dvd writer. somedays ago it has been dead and now if i enter any dvd or cd into it. it shows no disk in the drive pls insert a disk. now what can i do? A.B. Siddique

If it is not registering in your OS as a drive and doesn't map in BIOS then the drive is bad and needs to be replaced. It's about $25 USD from www.newegg.com or there are other brands around the same price.

Hi,

DVD Writers dont work as they grow old.

Try a few fresh DVD/CDs .
Still if u get the same message.
Dispose it off or get it repaired ( No guarantees that it will work)
