My he3t machine frabic softner compartment is not draing completly

This is completely normal, the machine puts water into this chamber during the rinse cycle to wash the softener into the machine.

Mine is doing the same. For over 2 months now I've been adding fabric softner to the detergent compartment but I broke down and called a repairman to come tomorrow... at a ridiculous repair rate. My washer is less than 3 years old and this will be the 3rd major problem that needed to be fixed. I've seen a lot of people post the same problem - some say all 3 compartments won't drain.

Remove the drawer detergent dispenser. Then feel around in the front of the empty drawer tray for any missing detergent caps or chunks of anything. This can cause your issue - and can be an easy fix.

remove drawer and clean it. sometimes its just adjustment also

Try 2 things -
(1) clean the dispenser drawer - it can be fully removed. Also if you look inside where the drawer goes, it can get clogged up with black "gunge" over time soi wirth cleaning that too. I find inter-dental useful for going into the nooks and crannies; and
(2) along the bottom right hand corner of your machine you should see a small flap. Open this and to the left of this compartment you should see a flexible rubber hose (mine is black) Unclip this and pull it out gently as far as you can. Having a shallow bucket ready, uncap the end of the hose and some dirty smelling water comes out that has collected over time should pour out. Do this often to keep machine ticking over. the water valve for the softner is not opening. depending on the model, you can put unit in a service mode. this will let you cycle through the valves.
