I had the same problem, and i did not find the actual solution here.. the problem is just an old waste ink pad. if you move the thing that holds all of your ink cartridge, you should see a blue ink bad. replace that or get a bunch of tissue and qtips to dry it up by pressing on it (your hands will get very dirty). then you need to download a software to reset the value of your "protection counter." i got the solution from here:

http://www.edmartechguide.com/2007/11/parts-inside-your-printer-are-at-end-of.html

once you install the software, just close it (it will actually minimize it to your task bar). then right click it >> protection counter >> reset protection counter. if u want, you can even check your current value. i had 39000/36000, which is why i keep getting that error "E" or end of life. once you reset the counter, just turn off your printer, and turn it back on. it'll work like it is brand new.

HOWEVER, if you did not replace your pad, you wanna clean that thing as much as you can and as frequent because even though the value will be reset to 0, once you print that value will jump to maybe 20000 depending on how well u cleaned it. then you will have to go through the process of resetting it again (which is no big deal). hope this helped

HP5550 printer is printing everything in green. We have true HP cartridges

So, your "blue" and "yellow" ink-cartridges are OK, and are mixing to produce "green".

But, either your "red" ink-cartridge is empty, or the ink-jets that shoot that colour onto the paper are BLOCKED.

Run a print-head-cleaning-cycle, using the HP Support Tools that were installed from the HP CD-ROM, and then, if necessary, replace/refill the "red" cartridge.

When trying to print my photos on my Epson Photo R200 the images that are printed are varying shades of green and not the colours supposed to be printed. I am using a good quality gloss photo paper. Couls...

Most ink jet printers have a self cleaning you can do.
The fact that you're getting shades of green usually indicate that the red is not printing properly.

Self cleaning should take care of it

My r290 add red color to my photos

*** I'll be more than happy to help you on that. you might be talking about R280, because theres no R290 for epson. there is a great possibility thatsome of the nozzles of your printer are clogged by dried inks, thats why when it prints, the inks are not equally distributed or is not balanced.to check that, print a nozzle check, and if you see gaps or breaks, between the lines, do head cleaning. this is how you can do it, its very easy for you. Using the Buttons on the Printer 1. Make sure the printer is turned on but not printing, that the CD/DVD tray is not inserted in the printer, and the red maint.5.1.8.jpg ink light is not on. (If the red maint.5.1.9.jpg ink light is on, you need to replace a cartridge.) 2. Turn the printer off and make sure the front tray is in the paper (lower) position. 3. Make sure letter-size plain paper is loaded in the printer. 4. Hold down the maint.5.1.10.jpg paper button, then press the maint.5.1.11.jpg power button. Hold down both buttons until the maint.5.1.12.jpg power light begins to flash, then release the maint.5.1.13.jpg power button. maint.5.1.14.jpg 5. When the nozzle check starts to print release the maint.5.1.15.jpg paper button. Check the nozzle check pattern that prints to see if there are gaps in the lines. maint.5.1.16.jpg 6. If there are no gaps or lines, the print head does not need to be cleaned. If there are gaps or lines, or the test patterns are faint, follow the steps in do the Head Cleaning to clean the nozzles. Using the Buttons on the Printer 1. Make sure the printer is turned on but not printing, and the red maint.5.1.23.jpg ink light is off. (If the red maint.5.1.24.jpg ink light is flashing or on, you need to replace a cartridge.) 2. Hold down the maint.5.1.25.jpg ink button on the printer for approximately 3 seconds. The printer runs a head cleaning cycle and the green maint.5.1.26.jpg power light flashes. Cleaning takes several seconds. Caution:
Never turn off the printer while head cleaning is in progress. You may damage it.

Do not insert the CD/DVD tray until cleaning has finished. 3. When the green maint.5.1.27.jpg power light stops flashing, make sure paper is loaded in the printer, then print a nozzle check to determine whether you need to clean the print head again. Print Head Nozzles If you don’t see any improvement after cleaning three times, turn the printer off and wait overnight. This allows any dried ink to soften. Then, try cleaning the print head again.

C43 stylus does'nt print while red and green lights stay on

If the light are flashing, it mean waste ink full. You must clean waste ink pad, and reset the counter. You can use SSC, find at indoreset.blogspot.com. But,.. you said the light are on. try to resinstall driver. after printer recognised by comp, check status monitor. Green light on is power on, and red on mean chip error/ink out error/cartridge error.

Epson Stylus photo 810/ink jet printer

Hi Alan

I expect by now you've solved this problem - but just in case .....

The waste ink "protection" counter has exceeded its limit and needs resetting. You can do this easily by using the SSC utility - download from:

http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml

Install it, and double click the ssc printer icon in the bottom right corner (System Tray). Choose Configuration and set your printer type (810), then close the ssc window. Now right click the ssc icon in the sytem tray and choose Protection Counter. You should see that the current count is above the limit; then choose reset to set it to zero. Turn the printer off then back on again. This will stop the lights flashing and restore normal operation.

Printer ripair

The BJC 3000 will flash two different colored lights in a pattern to signal several different errors. From the documentation I have the two colors are orange and green, could those be the colors you see? At any rate here is the code: Two orange flashes: Out of paper, paper jam, or paper feed error. If no paper is loaded in the auto sheet feeder, or if the paper is not loaded correctly, set the paper correctly and press the Resume button on the printer to continue printing. Three orange flashes: Paper jam. If paper has jammed in the printer, carefully remove the jam and press the Resume button to continue printing. Four orange flashes: A tank inside the BJ cartridge (print head) is out of ink. Replace the empty BJ tank and press the Resume button to continue printing. Five orange flashes: BJ cartridge is not installed properly. Remove and reseat the cartridge correctly. Make sure the orange protective cap and tape have been removed. Make sure the blue locking lever is locked down securely. Six orange flashes: BJ cartridge (printhead) is not installed. Remove and reseat the cartridge correctly. Make sure the orange protective cap and tape have been removed. Make sure the blue locking lever is locked down securely. Seven orange flashes: BJ cartridge (printhead) is defective. Remove the BJ cartridge and check that the contacts on the cartridge and cartridge holder are clean. Make sure the orange protective cap and tape have been removed and reinstall the cartridge. If the error occurs again after you resume operation, you may need to replace the BJ cartridge. Eight orange flashes: Waste ink absorber almost full. The printer has a built-in waste ink absorber to hold the ink that is consumed during print head cleaning. This error indicates that the waste ink absorber is nearly full. Press the Resume button to skip the error so you can continue printing. The POWER light flashes orange and green alternately: Service error. A service error means the printer requires the attention of a qualified technician. If you have any more questions let us know otherwise please don't forget to rate this post.
