The vibrating plate stopped vibrating but the motor seems to be working ok. Either the plate is jammed or something broke. What do you think? This sander is probably 30 years old, very heavy duty.

Unit works and then stops heating and vibrating and error Ft5

Hi, there is a unit inside that can be replaced the thermal fuse it controls the temp . My daughter had a set that where very expensive GHD and started to heat ok then cool down very annoying. When she told me the price for a set of new ones i looked at different sites on the internet that you send them off to and they will repair them its cheaper than buying a new set. I went down the road that you are thinking about and went to the same people that repair them and ordered the part that was needed . Its a part that sits under the ceramic plate and controls the temp. You also have an on off switch but yours seem to be ok. I think its the thermal fuse. Try youtube for your model to fix thermal fuse. A tricky job but my daughter is still using them and working well.

Beater bar stopped turning after bottom plate removed

The beater bar is powered by a lever and pivots on a point - you either broke the pivot point or disconnected the lever.
Take out the bottom plate again and, using a flashlight, try to locate the problem.

The dryer is plugged in and the circuts seem to work however the dryer is making a humming noise but it will not turn on fully.

what do you mean it won't fully turn on?do you mean the motor won't run because usually when it humms you either have a bad motor or something is jammed and stopped the motor from spinning.try this, open the door, with one hand hold the door switch in and with the other hand spin the drum, have someone else push the start button while you do this,if it starts the motor is bad,if you can't spin the drum something could be stuck in the blower wheel or the belt broke and could of jammed up the motor but it sounds like you have a bad motor.let me know what you find and next time send the brand name and model number.

My 1200I washes ok but does not get to spin speed, I suspect its the motor brushes, is this correct?

It seems unlikely as if the motor brushes were worn I would expect problems making the motor turn at all. It would seem that a number of owners have had the same problem and it is due to the load sensor thinking that the load is not even. If it thinks the machine will be subject to excessive vibration it stops the spin progressively. I don't know how the machine checks for uneven load, there must be a vibration sensor, maybe it gets worn and needs replacing, but I suggest you redistribute the load and spin again. Make sure the machine is level and not rocking. Also have a look here http://electrolux.manualsonline.com/washerdryer/ew_1200_i/possible-causes-21.php Please rate my reply thank you.

TIMER SEEMS TO STOP WASHES AND SPIN ONLY IF YOU STOP AND MOVE KNOB, At GE parts does the same timer work on all GE washers for about a little over &100.00 online

Try to buy the one for your model. That seems like a high price when all you probably need is the clock motor capsule itself. With the back of the control panel off, place a small screwdriver near the clock motor winding--if it has power and the winding is intact, the screwdriver will vibrate. If it does, the motor capsule is stalled. I've poked a hole in the plate where the small gear is and squirted WD-40 into the interior which sometimes gets it to work. I've never been able to find just the clock motor capsule as a replacement. Business Idea?

My dualshock 3 will no longer vibrate. It works fine in every other respect , but there is no vibration. I tried resetting it, but that didnt help.

Ok for this troubleshoot ill explain a bit, okay heh, in dualshot constrolers (referd hear on as DSC) there are spinning mettle objects at the hand grasps, most likely, they broke, because of a dropped or they have something jammed in there stopping them from moving.

Disconnected the Maxtor 4 500gb unit whilst away on hols, on return and connecting back up does not respond and shows no drive connected...... but it is!! Checked all cables and even tried different ports...

motor of the drive is jammed.if its making a a vibration felt on hands , then motor is ok, and the platter arm is stuck on the hard drive recording area. or the circuit plate is faulty.

Janome 9000

I have a Janome 9000, was sewing and broke needle, replaced and broke another. I didn't have machine threaded, took out bobbin and would sew a little and stop saying thread broke. I took off top plate and started machine again, sew a little and stop saying thread broke. So I took out bobbin case and sewed again and stopped repeating the message. Everything looks OK, bobbin case and top plate. I guess I want to know if the timing could be off or do you think it is the computer part of the machine...Should I take it to the Sewing Machine Shop??
