You might want to make sure that the back screen is in the whole way. I had that problem and that fixed it. What size fuse does it take. I am trying to find it. I through it out with a DVD fuse and don't know which was which.

Will not turn on - no power at all

If your Breeze was working, but you cleaned it and now it won't turn on, the problem almost certainly is with the reassembly of the components. Go through the following checklist.
1) Make sure the plug in the back is inserted firmly and the wall socket is live.
2) The little switch by the plug should have the "I" end depressed and the "0" end up.
3) Check to make sure the back screen is inserted firmly, depressing the interior safety switch. (It will click when positioned correctly).
4) Make sure the plates are inserted correctly, with the top and bottom in the little grooves and the metal fingers pressing firmly on the screen part of the plate. You may need to twist the white upright posts slightly to align the contacts.
5) Try both the manual and remote controls. If the manual controls work, but the remote ones do not, check to see if the little plastic battery shield is still in the remote. Remove it by pulling on the little tab. If that's not the issue, also try a new battery in the remote. If one set of controls works, but the other doesn't, you may operate the machine with only the working controls and ignore the others.
6) If none of the above suggestions helps, remove the plug in back, and pull out the fuse to see if it is blown. Very infrequently, a sudden powerup or power surge will blow the fuse. If so, replace it with the EXACT same size fuse, available at an auto parts store.
If none of these troubleshooting steps works, then it would appear that the problem is in the computerization. Unfortunately, Vollara (new name for EcoQuest) is no longer servicing nor selling the Breeze. Your only option to get it fixed would be to find a dealer who still has some, along with extra parts, in stock. If you call Customer Service, they will give you some trade-up options. 800-989-2299. Use #16618 if you need a referral number.

When I turn on the unit it imeadiately blows the little fuse in it.

The problem can be one of several things. 1) Make sure the fuse is the EXACT size required. 2) Check the metal contact points (fingers) that press into the plate. If they aren't firmly in place, you may need to turn the white posts, or bend them slightly. 3) Make sure the plate is clean and not damaged in any way. If you see black marks, broken screen strands, loosened glue, discoloration, or cracked background at all, you need a new plate. Call the company (New name Vollara) 800-989-2299 to order new plates. Give 16618 as the dealer referral number. The company is no longer manufacturing or repairing the Breeze, but if none of the above suggestions work, you also can email us at [email protected] and we may be able to help you.

Have you checked the fuse? It is located in back of the Breeze in the fuse holder next to where the plug connects to the purifier. It uses a 1.0 Amp slow blow for 110 volt models and 0.5 Amp slow blow for 220 volt models.

Fan works but no light on inside the unit.

The most common problem I have found with Breeze ATs not producing ozone is corroded terminal ends. The second most common problem is the coil that energizes the plate. The terminal ends are easily replaced. If the coil is bad, it is my understanding that Ecoquest is no longer servicing the Breeze and I don't know a source for them. Another possibility is that the contacts which touch the plate are not making firm contact.

What type of fuse do you get for a Breeze AT EcoQuest unit?

A buss type fuse is like the glass tubeb with metal ends and just snaps in two clamp type holder. Any automotive store carries them. know what amperage, like 5, 10,15 ,20 etc. The 250 v is the norm. The fuse protects against amperage overload not voltage. They come in tins of assorted or specifc in fives. Good luck

Purifier doesn't go on and keeps blowing fuses when turned on

If the machine keeps blowing fuses there is a short in the electrical circuit and it needs to be looked at by a certified repair center.
Make sure the fuses you replace are the same as the original
100,110 volt models use the 1.0 amp slow blow fuse
220 volt models use the 0.5 amp slow blow fuse.

I hope this helps

Is there a problem with putting the Ecoquest Breeze close to or around a computer

I wonder if it has anything to do with traping the dust from getting into the computer. I've never heard of one being used that way before.
