This could be from a failed power supply, or a failure in the management area, or a short on one of the boards which is shutting down the power supply.

I have a logik television HDMI 28 inch with builtin freeview and dvd. The standby light stays on when I try and put the tv on. It wont kick in to let tv turn on and remains red/standby. Any advice?

Hi Sarah,

Please check your :

- Power board . You may have defective part like IC and capacitor
- Video board. A defective part in this board will make your display stay freeze.

You Need a new Power Supply, part # LJ44-00025A
buy it here for $139 http://www.adc-ast.com/
I have my tv working like new.
If you want this time the power supply last, do not turn off, just press tv/video button to switch input source, let the tv in sleep mode.

This is usually from a scan failure or the CRT has failed.

Sometimes in these sets, when the CRT is on the edge of failing the set may come on, and then turn off. If the CRT is weak, the AKG circuits see a fault condition and cause the uPC to shout the high voltage and screen bias.

If there is a scan failure occurring, the power supply goes in to a the protection mode.
