No, the 510 receiver does not have a UHF input. http://manuals.solidsignal.com/DVR510.pdf You can upgrade to a 512, 612, 625, but would need your installation upgraded to be compatable (Dish Pro to Dish Pro Plus).

Hello! Daniel Busa with Dish Network. That would be a case of remote interference. You'll need a model 6.3 or 6.4 remote. You can set it to a uhf frequency instead of an ir that will correct the issue.

I am getting black borders top & bottom on some channels and side to side as well on Fox on my Dish Net receiver 322 to analog TV.
Hey there! Becki Barned from Dish Network customer service here. The black borders are usually caused by watching standard definition programming on a high definition television. Try to change the format on your tv. Either by pressing the * button below the 7, or trying a format or display button on the original tv remote. Hope this helps!!!

Can you elaborate on the problem you are having with your receiver. I say the settings are reverting back to default but I don't understand what is happening as far as the Check Switch.

I got dish net work installed yesterday and it worked fine but when i turned the tv on the next day it was nothing but static and i cant figure out how to fix it so whats wrong and how can i fix it?

The static you are getting on your TV is because the TV is not on the correct channel or input setting. With the 311 receiver, there is either a coax or an RCA cable (yellow, white, red) going from the receiver to the TV. If you have a coax cable, the TV should be on channel 3 or 4 (usually channel 3). With the RCA cable, the TV should be on an input setting. You'll need to go through your input settings until you find the picture. Of course your DISH receiver needs to be powered on. I hope this helps.

I have had similar problem, all you can do is call dish net and explain to them what has happened. They can usually send information through there satellite to your receiver to correct this problem. Your card has not received the authorization codes for your service, Each card has a unique ID that dish net can address from there satellite.

Dish net 311 no power
Dish Network (Echo Star Communications) is a problem company. The best solution to your problem is to switch to cable or Direct-TV.

Dish Network should be avoided at all costs.

recording issue vip922 I am unable to record any programs on TV2 (in dual tunser) from TV1. As I record, it starts recording on TV1 only. Not only that, While I am watching my recorded program (on TV1) and there is some program due for recording (TV1), it switches to live tv1. in 722, it never let the us stop watching recorded program. Dish 722 not acquiring signal on boot up. must disconnect antenna cable and reconnet then works fine. Dish Tech support is useless and my contract is up in 1 month, so I am considering canceling. Any This problem began about 6 months ago. Nothing unusual happened that I am aware of. When the system is first booted, it will stay on the acquiring satellite screen with no progress and ultimately fail. If I disconnect the antenna (LNB) cable and reconnect then it immediately shows progress and acquires the satellites and works fine until it is shut off and restarted again. Dish Tech support is useless, no they are LESS then useless. I have tried replacing the antenna dish and lnb, running new cable from antenna to receiver, replaced the splitter switch (for 1 and 2) all with no success, so I have concluded this issue must be with the 722 receiver itself. As I mentioned I have made 3 attempts to get help from dish with no success ("maybe there are clouds in the way every time you boot the receiver and they happen to disappear just when you disconnect and reconnect the cable" <<< No I am not kidding). I thought it might be a grounding issue so I ran a separate ground directly to the antenna dish with no success. SInce the 1000.2 antenna does not require a seperate switch, I have tried connecting the LNB cable to each of the 4 inputs on the LNB with the same result on each. We live in Florida so we shut the receiver off when we are not home to reduce the danger of lightning damage, consequently this problem becomes an irritant on a daily basis. Any ideas? My contract with dish ends in 1 month so if I cannot fix this, I am most likely going to switch to cable or directtv. Except for this problem the unit works properly as does the dvr.
