How do you troubleshoot a pentax camera? My camera got wet how can we get it to work?

A wet camera should not be turned on. Remove as much water from the battery and card compartment as possible. Bury the camera in a bowl of rice for a week before trying it.

Normally when camera gets wet, first remove battery, use dry facial quality tissue to wipe water, keep camera in a/c so that whatsoever moisture inside camera evaporates due to low humidity in AC room for 24 hours . Take hair drier set in low heat mode holding minimum 6 inches away from camera blow warm air in battery compartment, mirror compartment, memory card slot for 2minutes each. Wait for cooling down to room temperature. Put battery switch on. It should work. Wet camera if you switching on main board get short due to flash voltage in side camera.

Can Film Camera lenses and Flash be used for Digital Camera Body

If u used to have a Pentax camera, i would recommend you buying a Pentax DSLR, because Pentax film lenses still works on Pentax DSLR. I still use some of my prime lenses on my K10D.

My Pentax A30 will not stay switched on

Try drying the camera out - mine did this after it got wet. After a few days it still didn't work so I put it in front of a fan heater [not too close] for half an hour and after that it was fine.

the camera has a short circuit. if the camera got wet or was in very high humidity the flex circuit is shorting . take or send your MZ60 to a camera repair shop for an estimate. if the camera has liquid damage they most likely will not repair it.
however if it's just a component part it's fixable.
the battery drain will worsen as the short increases.

Older Pentax Lenses & Pentax digital SLR cameras

Depending on which series (screwmount, K, M, etc) you have, you'll get different levels of functionality, but yes -- all Pentax lenses for 35mm and DSLR (except for the medium-format digitals) will work with your K200D. Read the manual.

What does HI or H1 mean?

This is a zoom error code - the flexible circuit going to the shutter in the barrel is probably worn out. It'll have to go to a repair shop.

the lens stays locked even when i turn the camera on.. the pictures i take are all black.. the lens retract but still closed.. the display is all black and the pictures are all black... other features are working i just can't take any pictures or videos.. how do i fix it?
