I can't always get on line because my modem's lights are not always on. I've checked all my wires and everything is fine. It sounds like the modem to me.

Try switching off the modem at the wall socket, leave it for a couple of minutes and switch on again - it should re-boot and re-set itself. Did this help?

How do you check if dm111p modem is working properly

Type 192.168.0.1 in the command line and you should enter configuration screen. There you could check everything there is to know about your problem.
If you don't know how to do it, you could always download this users manual which really helped me a lot with my model. Good luck! :)

Why is my embarq 660 series DSL modem box's 1st

Telephone your Internet Service Provider, and have them check that you've paid your monthly fees, and that the DSL-modem at "their" end of your telephone-circuit has not failed.

Try a different DSL-modem, to see if your particular modem has "died".

Check the 2-strand or 4-strand wire from the DSL-modem to the wall-outlet, to make sure that it is properly connected.

Try a different 4-strand wire.

I have a sony 1000w zr1852. The power and ground cables touched at the amp. I fixed the connection but now the power save light is on. what could be wrong? thanks

Sounds like there's either some fuses blown, or a short circuit happened inside the amp. However usually they're pretty good about not shorting out. Check your connection at the battery, In-line Fuse, Cap, Distro, and Amp and make sure everything is connected fine. Check the Alternator in your car to make sure it's outputting the right voltages, and the battery to make sure it's between 12V - 14V. I've had some weird things happen over the years with my Car Audio, and it always ends up being wires or fuses.

Sounds like a problem with your cable connection. Check your coaxial cable, and the splitter from where the cable enters your home. The tech will use a signal meter to measure the quality of your cable, and then replace the wiring if necessary.

Sounds like Radio Shack sold you a bad power adapter or an adapter that doesn't meet the power and current requirements of the modem. Bring the old power adapter and the new one back to Radio Shack and tell them to get you one like the old one.

My laptop shows full signal but refuses to connect to the router. The wireless phone rang two days ago and knocked me offline on wireless. Can someone please help? Nobody else's wireless device works...

It sounds like the wireless setup in the router may have gotten corrupted. From the wired PC, using a browser type 192.168.2.1 to access the router. It will ask you for a password. The default is to leave it blank. If you've set one, you'll need to give it the one you set. That'll get you into the router. Check the wireless setup. Everything else should be ok, or you wouldn't be able to access the internet from your wired PC.

If you can't find anything wrong, you can try rebooting the router and the modem. Shut both down as well as your wired PC. Wait 30 seconds. Boot the modem, the router and the PC at 30 second intervals.
