Hi. I've got a problem with my Genius Sound Maker Value Series V1.2. I have installed the card, but Windows 7 gives me the following message if I put the driver CD in the CD drive. Message: This version of the file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running. Check your Computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher. What do I need to do to fix this. I have a x64 (64-bit) version.

hi, are you sure it is a agp slot type? because agp only used for video card, pci slot used any pci card just like for example..

tv tuner, sound card,IO card, scii card,dialup internal modem, etc...

mybe that is a pci slot, used any of the pci slot if the hardware will detect then install the software include for that card..

That's because windows 7 is not supported by the card. Try running in XP compatability mode.

1st Download Driver from this site Genius Sound Driver
Installation of Sound Card.

• Go to the control panel
• Click on the System Icon
• Click on the Hardware Tab
• Click on the Device Manager then
• Select the Multimedia Controller or Audio Control the yellow Question Marks sign on it.
• Right click on Multimedia Controller and uninstall it.
• After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
• Driver installation Wizard start.
• Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
• Driver will be install.

Hi, here is the link to the Genius 5.1 drivers. Theres two 5.1 cards from them not sure which one you have
Sound Maker Live 5.1/DVD
or
Sound Maker Value 5.1

If your not sure try the Sound Maker Value drivers first since they are much newer. Just unzip and install like you would any other driver. If you need help with that just post back and I'll walk you through it.
