Battery dead no support from philips on a new battery and i dont have the old one....anyone know where i can get one...have no clue on the size it needs

Battery Lamp error in the cluster means dead alternator.
the Battery word means battery is going dead as you drive.
due to ALT dead. (or 1./3 or 2/3rd weak(bad diodes inside it)
or the HUGE ALT fuse 100ams is burned out, off that huge ALT wire.
here is our car, back when, Pickups by them.
I numbered 6 the fail paths for you, besides wires bad.
4 fuse here.

• fuselink 4 and 3 blown ALT is dead. never change the alt out with battery NEG lug connected or BOOM
• bad alt 2
• bad fuse 5
• bad check lamp 6 (no it glows)

remember this fact a bad battery can make the ALT go nuts.
for sure 1 cell in the battery open or shorted.
or the ALT can be good or bad. or weak < yes WEAK
engine running batter, 13.v to 15vdc measured is good
less bad ALT. or fuses blown of 4.

Try taking the battery out.

Battery. New doesn't always mean good. Could have set on shelf. Have AutoZone or advance check it.

Check your convience and vanity type lighting to be sure they are shutting off( underhoodlight, glove box, back sun visor mirror lights, etc...). Next you can use a clamp on amp draw gun and follow the draw thru the harness to the problem. This tool is available at most auto parts stores. Also, just because a battery is new doesn"t mean it Good!

Remove the old battery , the number is imprinted on it . then just have the saleperson at walmart or radioshack match it up , shouldn't be more than 5 bucks.

Use paperclip to push in pin size hole below keyboard and then slide panel to right. Battery box is right there. Replace batteries and then was already to accept code.

you can change battery and/or upgrade hard drive (if changing hard drive, save the software to pc then copy to new hard drive)

i think it's hanged. Let it be the way is it, once the battery is exhausted and at that time when u start it, it should be OK.

the battery is dead completely you either have to get a new battery or borrow one from someone, put the new battery in switch on the go gear plug in the chargerr then put your old battery back in (keeping the charger in and the go gear on) keep it on charge and it should be ok, i bought a job lot of em with the same fault all worked no problem after that
