We replaced the bulb, thinking that the bulb was the problem for the picture not displaying. But when we turned it on after replacing it, still nothing was happening. The screen was a bright whitish blue colour and the menu screen will not come up.
If anyone has had this problem, could you please share your insights? I'm going to call the customer service line tomorrow, but I was hoping to maybe get some free advice before I have to call a repair person... we paid almost 400 dollars for our replacement bulb and THAT didn't work... argh.

I have the same issue. On occaision the projector will display a picture but most commonly there is just the blue / white screen. What makes it so frustrating is that sometimes it will work.

Same problem here - lamp works, audio work, but no video. Very little light comes out of the projector, and what does come out is at an upward angle. Several white circles can be seen to the right of my screen.

I have the same issue. During startup the unit comes on and there is light on the screen but no image is being displayed. It doesn't happen all the time.

This can be any number of things. Your description from a technical point of view is very vague. It is sort of like calling a doctor and simply saying I can talk and walk, but something is hurting.

Some basic examples that can cause no picture:

Main power supply failure.
High voltage supply failure.
Short on one of the boards, or a scan failure causing a protection shut down of the high voltage.
Set is in protect mode due to one of the above failures.

On each of the boards involved there are hundreds of components that can cause your symptom. The set would have to be properly diagnosed by an experienced TV tech who is used to servicing the type of set you have.
