Syganos, tatonot gave you some good information. If you go to e-bay you will need to do a search for " unlock v3 ", this should bring up different options for unlocking companies. Make sure you get one that specifies both V3 and T-Mobile. I could not find one for $5. You want to find one that guarantees that you will get a subsidy unlock code or your money back. You will need to give the seller your IMEI # and other information such as who the service provider is on the phone currently and where your from. After they receive payment it can take anywhere from 8 hours to 10 days. Most of them send your information to Motorola in order to get the subsidy code that you need to unlock your phone. Once they get the unlock code they will send it to you along with directions on how to input the code. This part is fairly easy. I would not suggest trying to unlock the phone yourself unless you are familar with downloaing programs and using a cell phone usb data cable that hooks into your v3 and compiter. If you are not familair with this process you can actually kill your cell phone by doing what is called bricking it. Bricking kinda means the same as if you crash a computer. It will not work.
