MY COMPUTERS front and back green light is flashing green

  • Anonymous Aug 10, 2010

    Does the computer come on?
Does the computer boot to OS?

These lights on the machine either mean standby or BIOS signaling.
The light at the back could be a wireless adapter?

Did this happen before or just start happening?

You can remove your side cover, and unplug everything from your power supply. then if you plug in your computer and the light still flashes it's your power supply. If not it's something that it is powering. Most likely it's your motherboard. I had this happen to me when there was a power surge/ outage and my computer wasn't even on.

No panel lights, no fan, flashing front left light

the blinking lights means power issue. If you already plugged the computers power cable directly to the wall and stll get the blinking power light then your probably looking at a bad power supply in the computer.
Just for measures go into the system and if you have a video card remove it and start the system up. Also take out the memory stick and put them back in just incase during the move some components got loose. Put on your detective hat and check all connects. if problem still persist replace the power supply. In Computers terms thats called the PSU (power supply unit)

Samsung Sync Master 914 has no picture. When power supply is only in, green light flashes slowly. When both power and vga are in, green light flashes more quickly. I hear a faint clicking sound coming...

I would check the caps with ohm meter. Make sure they all show increasing resistance. Caps can be bad without looking bad. Check output voltage on the power board, should be around 12V. If all that checks out then I'd look next at the backlight bulb. I'v repaired many monitors and the problem was almost always overheated caps on the power board. Post back and let me know.

Flashing Green Light on Front of 73" Projection TV

on the signal board replace the caps by the 5/9 volt regulators. c2p04 is the main culprit. 6 caps in total can be changed. I believe c2p05 also.

Light Bulb Icon Flashing

Unplug it from power.Pull the side cover to check for burnt smell or burnt spots on your board modem or power supply. Unplug the power suppy from the board, unplug the hard drive . Then plug it all up again , put the cover back on it .Plug power cords back up and try it again. If you get no where after this the surge knocked out your power supply or hard drive or board. Always use a good surge protector on all computers and printer and copiers.

Flashin power light - wont come on

The "green light flashing to the chirping" circuit may be defective.

Not a basic diagnosis--service literature and/or knowledge of each green light circuit will be needed.Possible shop repair.
