It is a kenmore glass top stove about18 years old. One of the burners stop working just wondering if I can fix it myself?

Will have to ask some basic questions first. How old is the stove? What is the entire model # from the sticker on the unit? Is this LP or natural gas? Also, make sure that the orifices in the center of the burners are clean (can use a safety pin or paper clip to poke them a few times to clean). Make sure that the black caps are on top of the burners and seated properly or they will not lite. Let me know what you find.

My sister has a whirlpool electric ceramic top stove/accubake sistem....the problem is that my husband took the door of the oven off to clean and now he can't get it back on......where on vacation at her house and want to fix it before we leave sept. 30/08. We need help fast.

inner element burned out. Either burner needs replacing or control switch is bad. Take out burner and see if coil has a break in it. IF not, then switch is bad. Hello! I have this stove in black where something went bad inside last week (made like a crunching sound). It still runs but seems to only be getting 110 electricity. Clock and lights work and the large oven stays warm. Everything was working fine until this happened. Could be an inexpensive fix- I willing to sell it for repair or parts if you are interested. The griddle alone sells for $170.00 through Sears. Cynthia
