I have recently changed the ink in my printer twice both with Brother Cartridges and compatable ones. Both times and since the first time I cannot get the colour to print correct. It appears to be missing the blue and the green prints as a mustard colour. I have also cleaned. Can you suggest anything I may have done incorrect. Thanks in anticipation Isabel Hill

Well if its printing fine than it should print the right colors. Because either it should print the colors or it should not.

The kind of issue that you have explained most likely shows that the cartridge is dried or does not have the colours that you mentioned. However when you say that you have replaced the cartridges twice, it may also be an issue with the printer head.

You may try some steps mentioned below or else you may have to get the printer checked.

    Firstly,
check if the tape on the top of the ink cartridge is removed. Remove it
if not, otherwise the air can't goes into the ink cartridges properly
so the ink can't flow to the print head properly.

If the problem still exists, then follow the below steps.
    This
will be happened when you stop printing colors for a long time or after
printing a lots of papers, because the colors printer head is blocked
by the dust or dried ink.
    The
problem can be solved by doing "Printer Head cleaing" process (Some
time the process need to be done several times) through following steps
(There is some difference among different printers).

    (1) Go to "Control Panel" and find the printer icon.
    (2) Right click the printer icon and then left click "Property".
    (3) Click "Maintenance" on "Property" Screen.
    (4) Click "Head cleaning" button (Similar like this for different printers).
    (5) Click 'Start" to do the process.
    (6) Do "Nozzle Check" in "Maintenance" and print the results after the "Head Cleaning" process.
    (7) If the performance is improved but still not good enough, then do the process again until all colors printed out properly.

I hope this will do the trick for you. keep me updated.
    Thanks
    Sammy

Brother printer ink cartridge chips

Unlike the inferior Epson cartridges, the Brother printer resets the chip when you refill them.
Follow the installation of fresh cartridge instructions.

EPSON Stylus SX600FW printer. Recently changed

Did you use Epson Genuine Cartridges?

ALL…. Epson & Brother Requires Genuine Epson Cartridges. !!!!!!!!
That sounds like your problem.

In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. I also Purchased a Brother. That also does not like Generic Print Cartridges. Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, Blue Brown, etc. These printers have a CHIP that will detect if it is Generic or Genuine. When they see it’s Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors.

That's what these Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, and some are refillable. Some you can refill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. Some people say some models work fine compatible, but not mine.......

I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. Don’t waste too much ink in cleaning it.

This is the only advice I can give you. If you find this helpful, pls rate me.

Thanks and Good Luck :0)

Printer will not print...when I review the computer setting it states OFF LINE

Did you recently Chang the ink cartridges? Are you using factory new Brother ink cartridges instead of third party ink and cartridges or refilled cartridges?

Some companies use logic in the printer to prevent after market ink and cartridges from doing damage to the printer because of contaminated or sub-standard ink.

Brother MFC 260C ink problem.

Once the ink dries in the printhead, it can't be cleaned out. It's almost always the magenta or black that plugs first. The printhead is a shop replacement, and costs more than the new machines available now.

I have changed all the ink cartridges on my Brother MFC5440CN it

Light/faint prints usually are a result from clogged ink or air bubbles between the cartridge and print head (thus changing cartridge wont fix problem). Try printing the test page print from the machine (Ink Management -> set/ok twice). Answer the question(s) in the display and repeat this up to five times. The colors should be improved after 1-3 test prints usually.

Ink cartridges not working in epson sx100 all in one printer

hi.make sure there is no tape or dirt on cartridge chip contacts.if still no joy trying iserting one cartridge at a time then installing.say insert black then will say others carts missing red blue yellow.keep going till they are installed.sometimes helps.make sure the carts have lastest chips installed version 5 or higher if compatable cart.should not be a problem if bought from epson.eg t711 etc will fit but must be new carts with new chip otherwise may not accept.i belive the sx100 has something like t811 or something.this may be the new chip.otherwise may just be a faulty chip on the cart.you can get refillable carts or ciss system on ebay you put in your own ink.they are brillant.cart chips reset when low ink.hope this may help.

Brother MFC-420CN color ink empty but want to print/copy in B&W

brother won't print od do anything is one of the 4 inks are empty so first of all you have to replace whatever is empty, when you remove it it will ask you if you changed it and if it is a new one you will press 1 twice per cartridge, if you put compatible ink in you will clog the ink head up and then be stuffed
