Hi I have just purchased a Pioneer DV-400V-k and find that it plays all legitimate DVD (bought from a shop) with no problems, but when I try to play copied DVD's it plays in black and white. Can you help Vman (Australia)

Probably your burned DVD are in PAL or NTSC, i don't know wich system do you have in australia. so check this.

    first check on original DVD box, on the back you can see in which format it is NTSC or PAL.

    after check on your DVDplayer user manuel normaly you can adjust the video output to Auto, Ntsc or Pal. Don't use the Auto option, you have to use the same format which your original DVD who are read properly.
