You can purchase a generic ipod wall charger and then you can plug the usb into the player and into the wall charger to charge the unit. You obviously have to have the usb cord but not the computer. Wal-mart has the generic wall plug pretty cheap.

Just purchased a Kindle Fire HD7. Start up instructions say to charge battery by plugging device into power adapter via USB cord. Is there another way to charge device since I have no plug which fits the...

An adapter should have come with your Kindle Fire HD7 when you purchased it. The USB 2.0 cord is universal, so you could plug it into your computer and charge it that way also (while the computer is on).

I am assuming that you checked to make sure you had all the parts. Included in the Box Fire HD 7 tablet, USB 2.0 cable, 5W power adapter, and Quick Start Guide

Charge an iPod Nano Without a Charger
If you've misplaced or broken the charger that came with your iPod Nano, you might think you need to purchase a new one in order to continue using your Mp3 player.
However, there is a way that you can continue enjoying your iPod without having to purchase a new charger.
As long as you have a USB cord and a computer, you can charge your iPod without having the charger.

Locate the USB cord that came with your iPod Nano package.
It is the same cord that you use in order to sync or transfer music.
Plug the small end into your iPod Nano.

Plug the other, larger end into your computer's USB port.
Choose "Do Nothing" when your computer presents the dialogue box to let you choose what to do with the hardware or USB connection.
Leave your Nano plugged into your computer for at least 4 hours to charge.
Unplug your iPod Nano when charging is complete.
Charge an iPod Without the Charger
Many iPod owners purchase a charging unit that plugs into a standard wall outlet to recharge the iPod's battery.
However, the iPod wall charger is not included with new purchases, so consumers must either purchase a separate charger or find a way to charge their iPod using other means.
Here's a simple method to charge your iPod using your computer.

Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of your iPod.
Plug the other end of the iPod USB cable into a free USB port on your Mac or PC computer.

Open the iTunes program by clicking on the icon in the Dock on a Mac or using the Start menu on a PC.
Click on the name of your iPod under the "Devices" heading in the main iTunes window.
Click on the "Sync" button to synchronize your iPod with your computer data.
While the iPod is syncing, the power from the USB port on your computer will charge your iPod's battery.

Unplug your iPod from the computer once the battery is fully charged.

This one should be ok.

My Kindle Fire will not start

If you last charged it with the computer USB port, try charging with the supplied AC adapter instead. If you last charged with the computer USB port, try charging with the AC adapter this time. This will help isolate a bad AC adapter / power cord or USB cable / USB port.

It is important to note that if you are charging your Kindle via USB port on a computer, when many computer enters "sleep mode" the USB power is shut off at this time too. Charging is effectively halted - even though still connected. You should only expect to charge while the computer is active or when using the AC adapter.

You can also purchase an aftermarket DC charger. These are small plugs that are inserted into your auto's port or cigar lighter. They provide 1 or 2 USB connectors to plug in a USB cable. These devices are suitable to supply / charge just about any devices that uses a computer's USB port to power / charge a device. They cost anywhere from $5 and up and look something like this:

Purchased a USB cord to download photos from my phone. Can I use it without having a disk to install it into my computer?

There are 3 things you need to do. (1st) you need to download Pantech PC Suite from http://pantechusa.com/support/ease Save PC Suite to Program Files on your computer. You need this software before you will be able to connect with your phone. (2nd) after you download this software you need to go to and open the Program Files folder on your computer. Then open the Pantech folder. Next open the Pantech PC Suite folder. Now open the P2020 folder. Finally open the USBDriver folder. This folder should contain some that looks like PTQH_V1_1_4583_1215_SETUP Click on it and install it on your computer. This is a special driver that is required for your computer to be able to communicate with your phone. (3rd) you need to a USB data cord (this is different for a charge cord). I purchased a data/charger cord for mine. It is able to charge or transfer data/charge at the same time. It is as simple as that :C Note: After you install and run Pantech PC Suite the program will give you the option of connecting to your phone with Bluetooth. However, if you don't know it already - anytime you use Bluetooth on the Pantech Ease it will really drain you phone battery and battery life on this phone is not very good to begin with. Hope this helps

When i put the USB cable and connect to the LAP, its not getting charged. How can i solve the problem? do i need to install any software?

Hi - when you say "LAP" I assume you mean laptop or notebook computer. Some computer USB ports do not have sufficient power to charge (or operate) devices like cellphones, GPS, large external hard drives, etc. You may be able to charge if you disconnect all other USB devices that aren't needed to run the computer. In order to get around the problem without having to do all that, either purchase an external charger for the GPS (which may be fairly expensive) or purchase a powered USB hub.

An external powered USB hub looks like a traditional USB hub, except for the fact that it has a power cord to connect to your home power outlets. The power cord will often look like AC adapter. The powered USB hub is ideal because they provide additional USB ports, are fairly inexpensive, they provide all the power for the USB devices that are connect to them (the computer's internal power supply is not used) and it can power or charge devices connected to them without needed the computer to be powered on. Simply plug the USB hub into a USB port, and AC power source - then connect the devices that need a large amount of power to the hub's USB ports instead of the computer's USB ports.

steve_con_70.jpg
The parts included with powered USB hub (clockwise from left): USB hub, USB connecting cable and AC power adapter.

Many powered hubs will work without the power adapter - however they will supply power to the devices connected from the computer's internal power supply.

I hope this helps and good luck! Please rate my reply. Thank you.

My cord to my motorola TN20 has come apart (one wire came out of the end). is it possible to have this repaired or purchase a new cord? if so, how do i get it repaired or where do i purchase a new cord?

Any standard USB cord or charger will work. You can plug it into your computer for charging if you have a camera cord. You will get a warning about longer charge time but it works. Walmart, Radio Shack etc should have a cheap USB charger.

Charging

You charge it by plugging into the usb plug on the camera. When you purchased the camera there should have been 2 cords that came with it. A usb plug to your computer, and a usb plug to plug into an outlet. Both will charge your battery. You should be able to purchase a usb to computer cord at a Circut City or other electronics store. Just make sure you take the camera to the store with you. To make sure you get the correct cord.
