My rca lyra m3904-a wont turn on and i put it in charge it still wont turn on i had it for like 5 days now. help me

SOURCE: my mp3 player wont turn on

it's locked. Change the switch on the back. (supposed to use to keep from accidentally changing songs etc.)

Hmm... guest that post is worthless. Okay, first of, go to http://www.rca.com/manuals.. perhaps it SHOULD come up as guest states, however it does not. And for the manual: http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/en-US/DownloadsLanding.html look at the bottom. Digital Audio Players then expand to MP3. A full list of models. Hoewver the RD2212 is not listed. Had same issue with mine, right out of the box! I called support, they sent me to some 3rd party support company... That place told me to return to vendor. Thompson Support. They basically just tried going to the RCA website, found nothing there, and finished up with return to store...

I had the same problem and I found a solution to make it work but do this ONLY as a last resort because this ERASES all of your files and you will have to download them again. Plug your mp3 into the computer. If your mp3 doesn't register on the computer then hold down the start button on the mp3 and hit the RESET button on the back of the mp3 with a toothpick. Once it registers on the computer, hit the start button on the computer, click on Computer, then go to the drive that is associated with your mp3. Right click on that drive. Click on Restore Device Defaults. I am not a pro but this worked for me. Good luck!

What format of video can I play on my RCA Lyra RD2780

I read on a troubleshoot website that the player supports the following format:

"The Lyra AV Jukebox can play MPEG4-SP video content encoded with the DivX 4/5 and xVID codecs."

RCA Lyra RD2840 Player quit, now will not turn on at all

Unfortunately, the RD2800 Lyra family (RD2825, RD2826 an RD2840) mp3 players have a frequent problem in the battery circuitry, and there are two tiny integrated circuits that are shorted very frequent.

You will need to check the power adapter prior to confirm that the problem is in the RCA mp3 player.

Using a multimeter in DC voltage setting, check the AC power adapter gives a voltage of around 5.0 VDC. If so, then the mp3 player is fried.

The repair involves to opn it, and replace the damaged integrated cicuits. Only a qualified technician with tools and parts cando it.

RCA approved repair centers charge $125.00 for such repair.

Make sure it's charged. Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged. Hold in the on button for 5-7 seconds until it fully powers on.

RCA Lyra RD1080 wont turn on

no the plasic is just to hold the batterys in to trun it on press the play botton some times you have to hold it down for a little bit or just press it and let go it could stick and to turn it off the stop botten press it 4 to 5 times untial it turns off. change batterys this unite is bad on batterys last about 2 or 3 hrs. is all i get out of mine had mine about 5 to 6 years
