Acer aspire 4736z wifi problem. i have the drivers, it detects the connection but i was mot able to connect on it. it willl prompt that it was out of range but the wifis connectivity was very high.

2008 OLD OLD PC, most then had no wifi card, so was added
and vast cards made , maker and model not told. at all.
and never worked before right, you added the wifi card did you.?
I can only beg for facts, not told..

if yes, all other PCs and TV work in wifi or not? this is step #1
lets say line above is YES ! and you know your wifi credentials
SSID, wpa1/2? and passphrase.
NO OS told vast PCs fails upgraded to w10 due to no drives exist fo this PC wifi,
The OS 2008 is XP and VISTa are you the last person on earth running that,?
first connect the PC to your working router, Ethernet jack./
see PC now works on the internet, no wifi needed but must be done to fetch the wifi drivers (easy)
in device manager, we click on the wifi card and it pick update driver. for this (secret) card. The card will never work lacking the right driver there.
if works or fails. if FAILS i bet the card you put there does not run on you unstated OS.

so you waited 14 years to buy and use a wifi card?
lots of pitfalls here even using cards that can never work here.
many PCs have wifi card black lists
and old cards do not run w10
and new cards will not run on XP or vista ever
and more but no card told so can not be specific ever.

Double check that the Wi-Fi didn't accidentally get turned off. There should be a button on your computer that turns it on and off or a fn key usually fn+f2. Try that first if that doesn't solve the issue try reinstalling your driver which can be found at the following site.

just press FN in your left side keyboard and press F8 to see your wifi connection in your operating system windows.

1.format and reinstall the Windows 7(or) Vista.
2.install the drivers using motherboard disc

Note: some of the acer laptops doesn't work with windows xp with efficient manner like this.

Check device manager to see if the wifi card is disabled. If so the enable it, if not then the card has probably died. If its still under warranty then get it replaced.

Open control panel scroll down to Internet connections and click to display. Right click wireless wizard then click choose enable. After this you will be prompted with a box that will show you that the computer has detected wifi connection in the surrounding.
