My Asus A7V8X-X AMD Athlon 2500 motherboard was custom built. There are three fans, front,CPU, rear. There are only two motherboard connections, 1 chassis, 1 CPU. rear is disconnected. How can I connect rear fan? and is'nt it very important to have all fans working? HELP!!! Ray.

If your rear fan has a small 3 pin connector and there are no connections of that type on your motherboard, you will need an adapter to connect it to a four pin molex connector from your power supply. Something like this...

    After realizing he directed me to wrong fan connector for my PC, He wrote back and corrected problem. He sent me the proper connector by priority mail, free of charge!!! How often does this happen? Not so often, Thanks, I won't forget. Ray.

No, the chipset doesn't support any newer one. You will have to replace the motherboard also.

Is it possible that AMD Athlon II X2 (3.0ghz) processor will fit in in this ASUS A7V8X-X motherboard?

Asus A7V8X 1 gb sim

Have you tried the 1gb in the motherboard on its own but in different slots. i.e try slot 1 then slot 2 then slot 3 and see if you still get beeps.
