Install Service pack2 and try again
The problem is actually due to an issue with your registry. The problem is, messing with the registry can cause serious issues with your computer if done incorrectly.
This is what I suggest:
Use a registry fixing program like the one listed here: http://www.filedudes.com/Free_Registry_Care-download-45084.html
If it doesn't work, I can give you the solution to manually fix it via the registry, But, we'll use that as a last resort.
