HP 12c Calculator Logo
Posted on Aug 04, 2010

HP12c showed expected display for low battery (star in lower left), put new batteries in and could not get any display at all. Took betteries out of mine (working great!) and now the one not working shows a display of numbers in reverse and other info below the numbers such as "USER f g BEGIN GRAD D MY C PRGM". Entire display is completely filled with this garbage. Is this HP 12c dead? Ted Bourdon

Flashing asterick in lower left of screen; ever since will not correctly calculate PV or PMT

I believe there are two separate issues here.
The asterisk in the lower left corner of the screen is the low-battery indicator. Put in a fresh set of batteries and that will go away.
As for not getting the correct results, are you sure you have all the modes set correctly? Could you post a sample problem, with the results you get and the results you expect to get?

The mobile switching off & the bettery isn't low

I think your battery is loosen that's why it turns off even your not turning it off..Try to put a small paper on the battery case cover so that it put a little pressure to the battery so it will not loosen and to avoid untimely shutting off of your cellphone..Hope it will help you.

Showing battery low

hi anjali,
i think the problem must be with the replacement of the CCD chip. they must have must some damage to the cam with out their knowledge. but the thing is you cant even claim that with Sony. you must have took it right next day.
that too if you are in india you cant expect the service people to get these things fixed so soon. you must have been attentive.
