Key I have a PC which is working fine now with the Netgear DG834G Serial DG12251SA000167 which I now understand is out of warrant. I am a complete novice and have from time to time been onto the help line during the warrant time because I was having trouble with the router. Dutifully following instructions the final on various occassions using the pin in the hole. I now understand that this reset my settings back to factory settings which worked fine but now that I am trying to configure a laptop into my settings I am snookered as my original passwords do not match. Netgear being out of warrant have advised me to e mail for help and given me a phone call reference number 7046128. Dont know if any of these numbers mean anything to you but I would appreciate some help.

Let do this steps:
1. connect your computer to the port 1 of the router.
2.open your browser (i.e explorer, firefox) and then type this on the address box http://192.168.0.1 username admin and password is password but if you have change those settings then use yours.
3.Go to the wireless settings and you'll see the wireless settings of the router.
4. on your computer, on the lower right side of the screen right click the wireless icon(a double monitor icon) then go to view available wireless.
5. You should be able to see the SSID you saw on the router's wireless settings, so select that name and then click connect.
6. If you have enable security then you can get that on the wireless settings of the router.

please tell me if this helps.
