The Fax Drum Is The Heart Of The Machine.When you scan a page to send a fax or copy the Image of that is processed through laser unit & printed on the drum & after that the drum rolls on & prints the image on the paper & then the paper passes through the Heat Roller & the image is pressed on it & the copy or fax comes out.

No. It should be working but maybe you still have the Replace Drum on the LCD ? in this case, reset the drum counter

Hi,
the drum is green roller in housing with toner, you should order the drum cartridge for your fax. With new drum you get the how to manual also. Follow the procedure.
NOTE THAT THE DRUM UNIT IS SEPARATE FROM TONER UNIT.

Brother IntelliFax-4100e Fax Reset drum counter

With the front cover still open, you should press Clear ("Replace Drum?" should appear on the display), and then 1 for Yes. Wait for "Accepted" message and close cover.
It may be necessary to remove the drum unit and put it back in, and then, with the cover open, do the a/m procedure.

How can I reset Replace Drum on the Panasonic KX-FL511 Fax?

Hi,

First of you will have to purcahse a Panasonic Drum Unit for you fax.

Inside the drum unit yu will have detailed instructions, you will open up the fax in the front take aout the old and install the new.

Paper keeps jaming when trying to print fax it

If the jam is consistent with exiting the drum, there's a chance the drum isn't secure and is the paper is getting caught on the exposed area of the drum. If this isn't the case, there may be paper caught in the feeder wheels.

The 4100 Printers in my office make a horrible grinding noise. The drum units constantly need replacing because they get stripped out and the grinding noise starts again.. Is there a more permanant...

Seems like the drum drive gear is bad, and is not meshing w/the drum causing it to strip the drum gear.

Brother Intellifax 2920 / How to reset Drum Life ?

1.Open the front cover.

2.Press the options key on the control panel. The display will show
#REPLACE DRUM - 1.YES 2.NO#.

3.Press 1 to reset the drum count.

4.Close the front cover.

Poor quality fax to fax, copy great, computor fax great.

beware of generic toner!
you may need to change out your drum unit
the drum unit may have been contaminated by the staples toner.
also clean laser window under drum cartridge.

Printing incoming faxes

Take out the drum and toner and look for dirt or toner on the filter glass inside the fax on the bottom.just under where the drum sits. also clean the drum charger with the blue clip on the drum unit. slide it back and fourth a few times. make sure you snap it back into its place. It also could be the toner cartridge or the drum itself. Lawrence
