Question about Sanyo Xacti VPC-CA 9 Flash Media Camcorder

Hi I have a new sanyo xacti vpc-ca9. It will not boot up - just a blinking red light on the top. The battery is charged and there is a 16GB SD card installed. Any ideas? Garth [email protected]

I have the sam camcorder. It has the same problem. When you press the on/off button, it does not do any thing just red light blinking on the top. After wandering with buttons without really knowing what I am doing, I took it to Sanyo service center. They found the ribon connecting the LCD to main body being damaged. They replaced it and charged me $75 for that. After that the camcorder works good. I saw the ribon is very vulnerable. If you twist the camcorder just a little hard, that ribon may get shocked.

Obtain or purchase Battery Checker. $10 or less. Then test the batteries. If charged, disregard red light and pull batteries from charger and disconnect charger.

Hi, It sounds like there's a bad connection with the battery charger, have you tried another charging cable?

Think you have it about thin sheets like fcc flatcontactcable that can about problems with sun heat build up inside there are special hotmelt repairs something like this kind of fcc without tools very difficult . hope you can something do with it knowing that Sanyo was become a part of PANASONIC in 2008

You need New batteries or you SD card is not the right card your camera recommends see manufacturers recommendations.

hi the best thing you can do is try ebay for a new battery and if that one charges then you know its the battery and ebay are always very reasonably priced

Canon ES900 Everything on the camera is operational except that when you attempt to put a tape in, the tape carrier won't go down. Without a tape, the carrier will go down.
