WHEN EVER IT GET HUMID MY MOVADO HAS WATER BUBBLES INSIDE THE CRYSTAL. IT TAKES DAYS FOR THE WATER BUBBLES TO CLEAR?

Mcdevito75 here, This is condensation, the difference in air temperature inside and outside your Movado watch, no watch is air proof, Humid means water in the air, the higher the humidity the more water is in the air. As the humid air enters your Movado it cools thus leaveing water behind, very much like boiling water, we see the steam, but put a cover over it and we see water, the hot air hitting the cover cools and turns back to water. However in your Movado this is too much and over time your watch will become water logged and be no good, Best Bet, look for a small watch repair shop in your area and have them re-seal the crystal and back cover of your Movado watch, also chek if your watch is still under warrantee, if so the re-seal should be free.

Fake watches are and have been very prevalent. Take your watch to a watchmaker and ask him to open it. The outside may look like a Movado but the crooks rarely bother with the insides as most victims don't look inside. By the time the victim does, they have your money. There are some good fakes unfortunately and people get duped regularly. For those people that buy them knowing they're fake I have only one thing to say to you, "Fake people buy fake watches"

mcdevito75 here, You don"t really have to be an authorized Movado dealer or repair center to service Movado watches, specially if Movado doesn"t have a warrantee on that particular watch. Also you say the stem was hard to turn, sounds like this particular Movado watch mechanism was starting to fail. The long and short is, you replaced the battery, set the watch and all was well when the customer recieved the watch back also, a Quartz mechanism could give out at anytime, just as a light bulb can. Have the customer come back with the watch if possible, place a drop of oil on the stem, try a replacement battery. Always ley your customers know what you find, and get a history of the watch from the customer before work, Age of watch, how it"s worn and stored etc. this way your covering yourself for any watch liability. You can offer this customer the mentioned re- service or a refund just to keep the customer happy.

The chronograph hour hand on my movado series 800 is out of sync and i cant get it back to the 0 position. I have pulled out the crown and pushed the start/stop button...

Try pulling the crown out and using the reset button to move hands beside the sweep arm. If this doesn't work then you may need to take it to a repair shop that can reset or AC the watch. With a movement as fine as Movado I wouldn't attempt this yourself. If you make a mistake the repair could cost more than the watch. Be sure that you have the watch resealed so it maintains its water resistance.

Date will not advance on own. you can change it by hand but doesn't change at night stays on same date for days.

One of the wheels of the watch movement has become stuck or broken. You will either need to fix or replace the wheels or movement.

If you have still have warranty card for Movado and within the date range of the models warranty then Movado will repair watch for free if not you will have to have it fixed by Movado or a local jeweler.

How can you tell if a watch received shock?

Hmmmm If the watch is still working then its probably okay. Did you get the crystal and bezel fixed yet? If not then please do so soon! Moisture will get into the movement and create rust and/or corrosion!

Obviously I cant see the watch but Movado watches usually use a plastic gasket to hold the crystal in. Most of the time those hold with no problems but occasionally they might not be placed in correctly. Movado will probably not cover that under warranty.

Find the decent watchmaker near you and ask for the new glass as mineral and sapphire glasses are not possible to polish due to the exeptional hardness.
Watch will instantly look much better and water resistance will not be affected.

Crystal falls out of place on Movado

If the crystal is just loose you just need to have it re-sealed. Take it to a reputable watch repair (NOT a jeweler) and they should be able to re-seal for no more than $20. If they want more the are not out to help you. You are lucky it wasn't the crystal (which is sapphire) that would cost around $75-$100. I re-seal for between $10-$20 If you find you still have problems finding help let me know and I will be glad to assist you further.
