Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
You might want to try changing the settings settings just go to sound settings>audio output settings and choose the type of cable you're using sfter that select automatic and press X. if that doesnt solve the problem may be you accidentally chage the BD/DVD audio output format. is locate in BD/DVD Settings change both BD/DVD audio output format (HDMI) and BD Audio Output Format (optical Digital) to linear PCM or viseversa try both to see wich one works.
p.s. it can also be a problem with your sound/ hometheater system.
