I just had one in for repair and CRTs are no longer available. If they were you will spend anywhere from $400- $600 for the repair.. Not worth it !

Mits. rear projection tv ws65905 picture has blue color tint

Your blue picture tube is failing. Invest in a new TV. "If" you can find a new set of tubes(you have to replace all 3 red blue and green) they are around $800-1000. Not cost effective. Run the TV into the ground if you want to wait but do not invest any repair money in my opinion.

I have Zenith rear projection TV Model IQC60H95W.The blue tube does not work. The red and green project. Is this a bulb or tube and are they available to purchase? The TV was made in 2001

This is a CRT(cathode ray tube) not a bulb. A Bulb is totally different. If you replace one Tube, you need to replace all 3 or the colors will never match properly. However, This model no longer has parts available. Even if they were, the cost would be close to $1000 in parts. I would not recommend repairing this TV.

Tv gets light blueand stays that way...comes back to perfect color the back to blue X-RAy looking it is a samsung pcl545r

Behind the screen, there are three color tubes: Red Green and Blue.

Unfortunately, rear projection screens often have these problems and the tubes do go out after extended use.

Take the television to a TV Repair shop to have this fixed. But in the long run, this may end up costing you a lot more than if you would purchase a new TV. The light tubes are fairly expensive.

I am having trouble adjusting my colors for my kp 53s25 there seems to be a lot of yellow how can i solve this?

This TV has had a long life. Your picture is looking more yellow these days because the Blue picture tube is wearing out. Not saying the Green and Red tub are much better, but Blue tube is a major player in the picture brightness and white balance (the color of white which the TV reproduces). The cost involved wouldn't be justified. You should enjoy the balance of the TVs life; when it's time comes... have the new TV delivered and ask them recycle this one. Best wishes.

I got this TV for FREE from a guy posting it on craigslist because he saw "BLUE SWIRL LINES" also knows as "Retrace Line" on the screen and he went to several repair people and got high repair costs so he was giving it away for free, but i found a guide that tells you how to adjust the tv to make the blue or green or red lines go away, aparantly the line show up because the voltage on the color ray gun tubes that get out of adjustment.
