I bought my son a blackberry curve 8250 a few days ago. I cannot send any files to his new phone via bluetooth, even though the phones do pair with each other. Please help!

When you send over bluetooth on a blackberry and the handset pairs you need to select the file type you are send and be in the folder to received. Once in that folder you need to click the blackberry key and select received via bluetooth.

I cannot send pictures from my blackberry storm,

You receive a Failed to Find Service message when you attempt to transfer a media file between two BlackBerry Pearl smartphones.

The BlackBerry Pearl smartphone receiving the media file is not properly configured.
To send and receive files between two BlackBerry smartphones using Bluetooth® wireless technology, complete the following steps:
  1. Enable Bluetooth technology on the BlackBerry smartphones. For instructions, see the Turn on Bluetooth technology section of the BlackBerry User Guide.
  2. Make the BlackBerry smartphones discoverable. For instructions, see the Make your BlackBerry device discoverable section of the BlackBerry User Guide.
  3. Pair the BlackBerry smartphones. For instructions, see the Pair with a Bluetooth enabled device section of the BlackBerry User Guide.
  4. Set the Trusted field to Yes on both BlackBerry smartphones by completing the following steps:
    1. In the Bluetooth application, highlight the BlackBerry smartphone and press the Menu button.
    2. Select Device Properties.
    3. Set the Trusted field to Yes.
    4. Press the Menu button and select Save.
  5. Send and receive the transfered file.
On the recipient's BlackBerry smartphone
  1. On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, select Media.
  2. Select a media type (Music, Video, Ring Tones, Pictures).
  3. Press the Menu button and select Receive using Bluetooth. The File Transfer dialog box appears, followed by a prompt to Save or Cancel the file.
  4. Select Save to save the file to the current location, or select the folder icon to save the file in a different location.
On the sender's BlackBerry smartphone
  1. On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, select Media.
  2. Select the same media type selected on the recipient's BlackBerry smartphone.
  3. Press the Menu button and select Send Using Bluetooth.
  4. When prompted to select a BlackBerry smartphone, select the recipient's BlackBerry smartphone.

Blackberry curve won't pair with my bluetooth headset

Hello,

Try the following. Hope this helps.

Okay,

1. Go into "Media" on your BlackBerry and enable incoming files (Menu-->Receive using bluetooth).
2. Find the file on your friend's device that you wish to send, and beam the said file accordingly.
2a. If you have not "paired" (created a friendship between) the two devices before, you will need to do this first...
2b. One of the devices will ask for a PIN code first and on this device you need to create a four-digit, numeric password that can be anything you like.
2c. On the second device, enter the four-digit, numeric password you created and follow the simple, on-screen prompts on both devices to complete the pairing (you can also pair the devices in advance by going into Menu-->Set Up Bluetooth).
2d. Depending on the devices being used and the time taken to complete the pairing, you may need to re-send the file (go back to step 1), otherwise, continue below...
3. When your friend's device tries to send you the file, your BlackBerry should ask you to name the file and where to save it; if you have not set the device as "trusted" in the bluetooth settings (Options-->Bluetooth-->your friend's device), you may need to approve the file transfer first though.
4. The file should now be on your device.

Note: by default, all
* Pictures are saved into /Device Memory/home/user/pictures or /Media Card/BlackBerry/pictures if you have a memory card.

* Sounds (including songs) are saved into /Device Memory/home/user/ringtones/ or /Media Card/BlackBerry/ringtones/ if you have a memory card.

* Videos are saved /Device Memory/home/user/videos or /Media Card/BlackBerry/videos if you have a memory card.

In other words, unless you specify somewhere else in step 3, this is where you will find your file.

And remember, your incoming file transfer WILL NOT WORK UNLESS YOU FIRST "PAIR" (CREATE A FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN) THE DEVICES, go into Media and CLICK MENU-->RECEIVE USING BLUETOOTH!!!

Want to send picture from phone to computer

Can you not use bluetooth to send pictures from phone to computer. Search on your mobile phones menu to see if there is bluetooth and enable it. If your mobile is not bluetooth enabled, you may still be able to send pictures from phone to pc if there is a USB cable slot in the phone. To send to the pc via bluetooth, either your pc has been set up with bluetooth, or, if not, you have
to install bluetooth using a bluetooth dongle which comes with CDrom, and may be purchased from computer stores like Currys or online for £10-15. Let me know if you have bluetooth, and I'll help you more. Once there is Blue tooth it needs to be turned on, and discovery mode has to be enabled, (not disabled) in order to communicate with other nearby bluetooth enabled devices. Get back to me tell me what you found out, Good luck papertigers
