My speed queen is not rinsing, the water is still in my machine. What could be the problem? Do I need to call a technician?

Check the lint filter drain from clogging... socks have a tendency to lodge inside. If the drain is clogged, the water level sensor will not advance the program to spin.

How can I access the pump in a Speed Queen HA4291WA?

Gather a bunch of dry towels, unplug the machine, empty it of clothes and water, put a towel down so you don't scratch the machine or the floor, tip machine over (this will be the time you know you still have water in the drum because it will be heavy or sloshing around), sop up any water that spills from the drum with the other towels, look underneath. You should be able to follow the drain hose to the pump. Try to remove the line from the drum to the pump first because if it is clogged you may be able to remove the clog without taking the pump off. If you do remove the pump, there will be a wire bundle connection that pulls apart and 3 or 4 bolts. You can do it!

When the spin cycle begins the washer vibirates and moves on the floor. After the spin cycle reaches the maxium speed it stops. The springs are fine, but what else could be wrong?

The machine is probably not leveled properly. To level the machine, partly fill it with water. Make sure that the drum is standing in the middle of the machine and then adjust the machine until the water is at the same level all around at the nearest set of holes to the water. Check that the drum is still in the center of the outer drum. Make sure that the adjusting feet are all firmly on the floor and that you cannot rock the machine at all by hand. A top loader must be 100% level or it will shake.

I have a Speed Queen top loader(older model). It let's water in but does not wash or let water out. I have checked the control pannel and motor. All seems to be ok. The reset used to work but now it does...

Make sure that the lid switch is working as it can make the program from advancing forward. So check the continuity of the switch that goes to trigger the main board.
If Ok then the program controller is not functioning, if you can try to change manually then the control board is faulty.

At start of spin cycle water splashes over top and runs down.

Hi, just fixed the daughters speed queen, same problem. The three brake shoes were worn allowing the tub to spin with the agitator.
replaced the shoes, washer fine. At first I thought it was the top ring. spent 30 dollars for nothing.

Washing Machine does not drain all the water

Hello nsukiwa.
Welcome,

What is the model number?????????????????????
As I am working blindly for you!
Here are some ideas, until I have the model number.

You said, your washer is a Hotpoint type. When emptying the water it never finishes all the water. You have to throw the drain pipe on the floor to drain it dry.

I'm searching for answers to your problem with these questions!!
1. How long is the drain pipe and does it have to pump up higher than the machine to reach the drain?
As if it is in the basement and the drain pipe above it?
In this case you would need an external pump with some machines!

2. Is the water visible in the bottom of the machine when the load is done?
Or do you just detect some water left in the hose?
There usually is some water left in the hose, but it is not supposed to be visable in the machines tub.

3. I have a Speed Queen washer because this machine can pump the water up above the washer for 7 feet straight up to the drain above!
Most machines are not capable to do this!

I am awaiting your answersHuuum

28+ year old- Speed Queen Heavy Duty top loader

It sound like you drain hose is siphoning off the rinse water, It needs a standpipe make sure the drain hose is at about the height of the top of the washer, Make sure the drain hose isnt stuck in the drain it also needs an air cap. the drain hose should not lay on the floor to run to the drain

Please let me know if this doesnt solve your problems
