Hi guys,
i facing problem with v3000 with AMD processor. laptop is getting switch on but no display. Anybody can give a solution for it. i am a technician but not able to solved problem pls help me
I have a solution and i have tries ask a technician to open the motherboard and their is dry in display chip after solder it should be ok .
Hey mate,
I had the same problem.
Mine started with the wireless card "disappearing" for the device manager which sometimes reappeared when I restarted but was slowly not reappearing as time wore on.
Then the computer sometimes didn't turn on, or would only turn on after a couple of attempts. It would power on, the fan would whir but the hard drive wouldn't speed up / seek and nothing would be displayed. I had another technician (I am one myself too) and he thought it might be software.
Keep in mind things not working and then working randomly is a good indication of hardware failure rather than software.
I bit the bullet, bought a motherboard for $130 AUD on ebay from China and started the rebuild.
It's easy to do. Keep in mind that your laptop is not working so you have little to lose. Start with the underside, remove all visable screws, then remove accessable components (hard drive, ram, etc) and slowly start to pry away the two halves of the bezle.
As you start to remove cables from the motherboard you will get towards the heatsink / fan. THE PLUGS AROUND THERE BECOME BRITTLE OVER TIME FROM HEAT. BE CAREFUL.
As long as you are patient and methodical you will be able to do this yourself.
Also start with the accepting belief that you WILL have to take apart and reassemble 3-4 times before you get everything right.
Best of luck
