When im playing my online games my laptop freezes up and then crash all the time it does it wen im not playing online game also and my computer freezes for man than a couple of mins somtimes then crash to blue screen

Sometimes closing and restarting a game is an effective way to fix crashing and freezing issues. To do this, select the X in the top right corner of the screen to close the window (the game closes) and then restart the game.

install more ram. i hate to bash on a pc manufacturer but emachines tends to go with lowest bidder parts. it's probably your graphics that can't keep up and it may be overheating or overloading the cache/buffer. if you give me your model number and what game you're playing i can verify this. you need to make sure your system has supports the minimum requirements for the game

Your laptop is under power to run these games. The only solution to this is, either upgrading few of the component, Since this is a laptop, I doubt you can upgrade the video card, and you may need to find a higher performace laptop or a desktop to run the games. Remember game min. recommemation is only for a desktop, and with laptop even with some of the same spec, laptop hardware underperform with desktop hardware always!

Change your operating system to windows xp. update Chipset drivers, Graphics drivers and make your computer have a nice air flow by cleaning inside where the fan is. use a powerfull air blower when laptop is powered off and without battery..

dont put too many information on your hard drive.

Leave a space of a bout 15GB free space.

Your games will never crash again.

It might be your graphics card or one of the files is corrupted try installing it again and if it still crashes its your computer

Has it just started doing it?

if so have you changed/installed anything?

Check the actual card to make sure the fan is still spinning on it

other than that check the caps on the card make sure they are not blown...

Run the Update. If it is the most uptodate then its a hardware fault. Get a new one

yo dude i have the same problem as u like im playing cod4 wen i exit a match it freezes wen i play guitar hero 2 that also freezes while playing a song i think i know sum ways. its either were playin to much u need to buy 1 of those disks that clean inside the ps3 or any dvds its like a special disk it just goes inside and u play it and it takes like 5 min cuz none of my games have scratches

Im not positive but it may work. Go to "Start", "Control Panel", "Hardware and Sound", then "Power Options". Once you have found "Power Options" your going to want to set your computer to "High Perfomance" mode. You computer will now run your hardware at level its supposed to be ran at. But, power usage will go up though. So as long as your not leaving your computer on for long extended periods of time, its ok. But if you are, I recommend turning it back to "Balanced" mode.
