If the blade is turning it should cut grass. Try mowing. If it's not cutting the grass then the blade is not turning, or is no longer turning at the proper speed. You can find parts information and exploded views for your mower here. You'll need to pick the series mower you have from the list. The service site's home page is here. At the bottom of the center pane is box where you can enter your model number to find the manual. With the views they give, you should be able to get the mower apart to replace the batteries yourself. Good luck on the project!
